The barcelona princess hotel was a mixed bag. The hotel is very close to the convention centerbeach area which is good if you're attending a convention, which I was, and not so good if you want to be near the more interesting areas of the city. The Gothic Quarter or La Barada Familie is a few miles away, but there is good public transportation or taxis. The hotel room is compact and modern, with no comfortable seating. The hotel is very vertical, so there was often a wait for elevators. The food situation was not great, and the lobby seating area was not very nice. Service was mixed, there was a guard who reminded me of the addams family lurch. However, the city's view was excellent, and the price was significantly better than those at the nearby Marriott or Hilton.

I had a mixed attitude about the whole experience. I stayed at the same place ten years ago. But, I changed quite a bit. It took almost 60 minutes to check in despite a reservation and all documents. Surprised to find only a wooden stool-like chair in the room to sit on. Other than a bed and this chair, there is nothing to sit comfortably in the room, despite the fact that it is rated as a four-star property. Gymnasium is a tiny box-like room with just one treadmill. My wife and I did a lot of research. Oscar, a senior staff member, was really helpful. So was also anna at the front desk. Moved to a suite room by paying more only for comfortable seating for me to work and be in virtual meetings. The spectacular view from the room is the primary benefit. The restaurant on the front floor is also excellent. Breakfast is a wide variety of delicious dishes. Omelet comes with additional fees! Cost was on par with other branded properties when we stayed via knees for ttd. a lesson learned. Brands are always important in ensuring quality.

Excellent hotel, and a lot of staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel's staff was friendly and helpful. Both family rooms were connected, with large, cozy, and spotless rooms. The rooftop pool was lovely and had wonderful views. The other pool was smaller, but very cozy, and there was a bar right next to it. There is a shopping mall with a sizable food court right next to the hotel. The only disadvantage was the air conditioning and our inability to open the windows to let fresh air in.
