A wonderful place to stay in Peratallada is the hostel blah. But let's get down to the practicalities first. The hotel is in the old town and you can't drive there, so you have to park in one of the three parking lots that are directly outside the old walls. Every parking lot has attendants and, once you tell them you are staying at hostel blah, they will tell you if you're in the closest parking lot. You won't have to pay and just have to get a free parking permit for your car when you check in. The streets in the village are quite rough in places and a little misty, so my suggestion is to start by leaving your main luggage in the car then finding the place of hostel blah before bringing the rest of your luggage after check-in. Hostel blah is a wonderful old house with arched ceilings and gorgeous public areas where you can unwind or make yourself coffee. Checkin was efficient and friendliness was flawless, and we found the staff to be pleasant during our visit. Our room no. 4 is directly above the hotel and has three stairs to get in, one of which is inside the room itself. We enjoyed our stay at the hostel blah and would suggest it to guests searching for reasonably priced, pet-friendly lodging in Peratallada. Despite having previously visited Peratallada, this was my first time staying for a few nights. The hostel blah is situated a few steps from the village's center on a narrow cobblestone street. The description of picturesque doesn't do it justice. I chose the hostel blah for this trip since I had my dog in tow and the cost was reasonable. We stayed in room 1, which was surprisingly large with a small fireplace, a sitting room, a larger primary bedroom, and a smaller single room in the back, with the little bathroom in between. Checking was quick and the staff was courteous and courteous. There are only two minor concerns here, in my opinion. Although sufficient, the breakfast selection could have been better with some eggs even boiled and some freshly squeezed orange juice instead of the bottled variety offered, and an espresso machine instead of the thermos jugs of brewed coffee. The proprietors spent a few euros to deep clean the premises, the awning over the patio was stained and a bit filthy, and there were a few coats of fresh paint here and there. We had a suite at the back of the hotel that was separate from the main building and had its own terrace where we could sit out at night and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is a short walk from the municipal car park. Parking is free with a ticket from the hotel. Full of character and in perfect keeping with this historic village. We found the owners and staff to be very pleasant and helpful.

We want to say thanks to a lot, Arata, Frances Vague, Lola Sandoval, and Grama for their wonderful, warm, and competent care for us during our recent stay in the hostel blah. It was a magical week for us with them in Peratallada, and they attended to all of our needs. The breakfast was delicious, and Michael's favorite aspect each day. We would love to visit them again!
