This is probably not the place for you if you are looking for luxury. If you don't mind walking up 49 steps to reach your basic room, which is clean, with a safe, simple single beds, a shower and non-satellits, but it's within walking distance of retro park, Plaza Mayor, Plaza, and Podium, and is only a 5 minute walk from anton martin metro, then this is a bargain. The staff running it speak English, are helpful, and there if you need them.

The difference between hotels and hostels must be noted. I know this sounds obvious, but if you reserve here expecting a hotel, youll be disappointed. However, as a hostel, it is reasonably priced and in a great location. Right off Calle de las Hurries, it is in an excellent location for bars and restaurants and only a short stroll down into the interesting barrios of the Lavapies and over to La Latina. It is also convenient for a short walk up to the sol, over to retrace part, or, if you must, plaza Major and Gran Via. The hostel itself is in a secure structure. You have a key to the main building, the hostel, and your room, so there is no reason to feel unsafe or concerned about leaving your belongings in the room. The building is being renovated, so it's a little dusty, but there are no such issues with the beautiful and clean hostel. It's a simple hostel, so practice your Spanish to make things like checking easier. My room number 6 was a tiny but ideal size twindouble. The en suite was similarly small and clean, but as I said, remember this is a hostel, not a hotel. You pick a hostel for a room while you do other things, and if you want somewhere cheap, clean, and secure, I recommend San Antonio

It is located in the center of the city, close to restaurants and bars and the nearest metro station. The staff is very nice and nice, they were so clean too. And I would like to keep our luggage even after checkout.
