Staff were friendly and helpful and very available to take you on a quick ride to the train station if you choose not to walk. Breakfast and dinners were great at the hotel, but it would have been a viable option to have had dinner at local restaurants. If you want to relax after a day of hiking we found that having dinner at the hotel helps to slow the pace of the day. Rooms are on the small side (as expected in Switzerland) but we were only in the room to sleep. There is ample space to read and relax in the common areas and to enjoy the view at tables in front of the hotel. Great location for making day trips/hikes at Murren, Grindelwald. We chose to get the unlimited travel pass for area gondolas, trams and trains (about 200CHF for three days) and it was well worth the money. We also paid in advance for parking at the Lauterbrunnen station so things went a seamlessly (as expected in Switzerland). We stayed at the same hotel 8 years ago and had a similarly great experience on this visit. While expensive we found it worth the splurge.

Clean & comfortable rooms with stunning views of the Wengen Alps and valleys below. Great staff who were super friendly and couldn't do more to look afteryou. Great food both at breakfast and evening meals for those on the half board package. A fantastic location.

This hotel is beautiful. Incredible views, slightly removed from the heavy tourist area. Breakfast and dinner were both amazing. Staff is friendly and you can organize them to take you up to the train station (or 10 min walk uphill). I'm not sure why it is only 3 stars - at minimum it should be 4 stars. We would definitely stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay at this lovely family hotel in Wengen. The views are beautiful, and my favorite moments were sitting outside facing the mountains and waterfalls — peaceful and unforgettable. The room was very clean, the staff were warm and friendly, and the whole atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable. The food was also thoughtfully prepared and very tasty. Thank you for making the stay so enjoyable. Will definitely come back again.

We had just a lovely stay at Hotel Alpenrose Wengen. The transportation from the station worked out perfectly. The staff was wonderful and the owner and her husband were there running the show. We did the dinner option and it was delicious. It was nice to not have to search out a restaurant after a long day of exploring. Also, the most amazing view.

First of all, the journey to this hotel is spectacular. Upon entering our room, we felt comfortable whilst surrounded by a lovely room, perfectly accented for a mountain chalet feel. This is a high quality hotel with great food, (breakfast and dinner). There is a shuttle available in the mornings to the train station. The walk isn't long, but it is up hill and we used the laundromat there; the lift helped a bit! We hope to return soon! Ursula was warm and gave us wonderful ideas on how to enjoy her village and the alps.

Beautiful property, and stunning views. Owner and staff were warm and friendly. Dinner was delicious, and a good value. Breakfast was beautiful. Would have loved to stay longer. It is a bit of a hike from the train station with luggage, but they have a shuttle that will take you to the station in the morning. My only complaints, and this is nit-picking...seats are too close at dinner (was uncomfortable for an introvert) and there could be a bit more protein options at breakfast. That being said the fried eggs were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Will always have fond memories of our stay at Hotel Alpenrose. Do not hesitate booking. You will not be disappointed.

O ambiente é muito agradável e o hotel muito bem decorado. A estadia foi muito tranquila. A varanda do quarto é muito grande. Mas o que tornou nossa estadia incrível foi a hospitalidade da equipe que é praticamente toda de portugueses, e isto facilitou muito a comunicação. Se voltasse a Wengen muito provavelmente me hospedaria lá novamente.
