This place is a must-see, I will return! I recently returned home from a fourweek vacation in Taiwan, where everyone had overwhelmingly agreed that both alien and echo villa were the best parts of our journey. Outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, echo villa is surrounded by tranquility and nature, giving it a much needed change of pace and air. The proprietor, Kevin, is friendly, welcoming, and willing to assist with anything. He helped organize transportation, private tours, and lots of local food recommendations through his connections with other businesses, which makes costs are also less expensive. A few moderate mountain trails are only a 10-minute walk away if you enjoy hiking. As a result, there are numerous delicious good food options close by in the alien city. For those who enjoy cooking, homemade breakfast is provided, and there is a wide range of delicious food choices near you, just ask Kevin. Echo Villa is ideal if you prefer to stay in because nature is right outside your floor-ceiling glass windows in your cosy room. Everyone has something to choose from. Overall, a charming location with a wonderful host! While booking the room can be a bit confusing for someone who doesn't speak Chinese, it is manageable, and Gino, our amazing host, sent us lots of emails before we arrived telling us about all the different activities we could do while we were there. When we arrived, Gino picked us up from the train station in his vintage Ve beetle and then took us around the villa! There is a beautiful koi pond and beautiful wildlife like geckos and butterflies in the garden, which is lovely to watch as you relax in the front room while listening to the wonderful jazz music that is playing. After telling Gino that we wanted to visit Taboo National Park, he made arrangements for his friend who is a guide to come to talk to us about potential routes we could take totally free of charge! He also sent us a copy of bus schedules, called us a cab every time we sent him a message, and sent us a voice recording of echo villa so we could learn it to tell taxi drivers! He was an amazingly friendly and attentive host, in short. The only thing we expected was that because we were traveling on a budget, we booked the pop style room, which is still a lovely room, but nothing like the stunning glass rooms in the pictures. I am extremely fortunate to have a chance to stay in echo villa 2, which was just opened less than two months ago because this is my first visit there in 2012. After my initial visit in 2012, I have always enjoyed echo villas. The vintage interior design, antique furniture, and meticulously arranged and designed of echo villa 2, both of which were very stunning. In addition to being vastly different from echo villa 1, the furniture and amenities utilized are more luxurious than those of echo villa 1. On April 16, 2019, I remained in room 201 and had a fantastic time since the room was spotless, well-designed, and had a perfect view of the forest and mountain ahead. I spent a great deal of time reading or simply enjoying the sound of mother nature and the really pure fresh air, something you can scarcely see in Singapore. The sincerity and friendliness of echo villa owner ah cheng, who owns the property, is one of the most significant reasons I have been a lover of echo villas since 2012. You can hear him describe how each brick and motor was constructed, the origin of his furniture and how he imports them in, etc. You can really sense how hard it was to give the most for his guests. We've been to Taipei many times, but this is the first self-drive trip along the east coast. Reading travel blogs brought us to echo villa. The accommodations and guest service are excellent. We can enjoy the calm and slow pace we want because Echo Villa is tucked away from the main train station. In any case, the town is only a minute's drive away. We are really enjoying this place! I'd like to highlight the helpful service provided by Ah Cheng! A careless service representative canceled our rental car just before we departed, but Ah Cheng was able to find an alternative and better car the next day! Without his prompt assistance, our self-driving trip could have been ruined. a delicious home-cooked breakfast to brighten our mornings. We still have fond memories of it.4.4/52 Jul 2022

A real tranquil view from the house facing the forest on one side. On the other sides, however, there are decrepit dwellings. If you google the location, it is not close to night markets and central alien but what you do not see is that it is among extremely old and decrepit houses, which surprised us a lot because the rooms do cost quite a bit per room and per night. However, marketing was done correctly and the pictures are what you can see from one side of the house facing the forest. They have a booking system on their website where you can only book the rooms and pay a 50-cent security deposit. However, upon arrival, they only accept cash. This was not stated on their website. Also, they charge per person, which is not stated on their website. Dishonest because after many email exchanges knowing the number of guests the owners failed to bill me correctly. We were asked to top up for every extra person before arrival. Maybe their website is only in Chinese, which can be a barrier to understanding the many terms and conditions. We booked 3 nights but decided to cut short the stay and check out the next day because of the sudden per head charge. We had paid 50 of our entire stay and also topped up for additional persons kids for that night. We were not happy with the amount and wanted us to top up another sgd 200 before they let us leave.
