Excellent friendly hotel. Ample parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant excellent. Owners are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. There was a minor set back with checking in. Check in from 4 but door locked. It was a little frustrating as I’d been working all day but wasn’t waiting too long. Hopefully was a one off as I will be surely checking in again when I’m in the area.

Owners Sean and Sandra could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble for their guests. The bar restaurant actually was a B&B not just a room and a key. The breakfast was wonderful and was whatever you wanted it to be. Sean was a scream as the barman, all the entertainment you ould want and the TV remote was present and working in the room. Highly recommended.

From arriving to leaving, nothing was to much trouble for Sion and Sandra. This is not a run of the mill B&B it's a place where you are welcomed with open arms and made to feel part of the community. The locally sourced and home cooked food was an absolute delight and a pleasure to eat. My room was well stocked with a really comfortable bed, that after a longs day ride was more than welcome. Would I recommend the Afon Duad Inn? Hell yes, I'd be mad not to. If I knew all this before I started my tour of Wales this would have been my starting and finishing point. Please don't discount or overlook the Afon Duad Inn, you'll regret it. See you next year Sion and Sandra and thank you; "The Hosts with the most"

It's an old traditional pub with good clean rooms above at a very decent price, and very friendly owners who make you welcome. I've stayed here a few times and I certainly now prefer it to some of the bigger hotels in Carmarthen. Food is always really nice, great cosy bar / good seperate dining area and always fun chatting with the locals and other guests. It's one of those 'go back to' places for when ever I'm working in the area & need somewhere to stay & I work all over the UK & I know good places from bad. Highly recommended for sure.

We stayed 2 nights in the cottage with 2 couples and 3 dogs. Nothing was too much difficulty for sion and sandra, the best hosts we have ever had on a break away. Sion is hilarious and very welcoming, sadly, sandra was busy so we didn't get to see much of her. The food was excellent, local ingredients were all available and my fussy mother-in-law accounted for without question. The cottage is beautiful with everything you need available. Hoping to return soon!.

Because this inn was near to where we wanted to be, we chose it. I had read prior reviews and thought that not everyone was wrong! We stayed one night in a spotless room that had everything we needed. Our supper and breakfast were both excellent! Our hosts were a wonderful, straightforward, and kind pair who were perfect companions. I cant recall being able to have dinner in a bed and breakfast lounge all evening. We laughed, chatted, and posed for mickeys. I cannot express my gratitude to our hosts enough. That is a serious threat, and well be back!.

I was there for two nights. Very fair value. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. Sion and Sandra are wonderful hosts who are so welcoming. Both evenings, we dined at the eatery. The selection was excellent once more. My wife requested chilli on the first night, although it wasn't on the menu, and a portion was found. On the second night, lamb and mint sausage were the main courses. On the second night, my wife chose sweet potato and chilli soup, which was a meal in and of itself. A wonderful find. Sion is very well versed in local history and attractions. The only negative aspect we had was that if you go to bed early, the bar area can be quite loud. Overall, a fantastic find.
