I was there as a six-member party on Saturday night. The chef, Scott, recently bought over the pub and has done a terrific job restoring it to its former glory. Service was outstanding, attentive without being intrusive, and we were made to feel very welcome. Having a lot of knowledge of the neighborhood, I would say this is the best pub for far-off food. Excellent ambiance as well. This review is only for the eatery. The menu has a wide selection and there was a group of six of us who had a variety of foods, all of which went down well and clean plates were returned by everyone. The highlight of the evening's meal was the fish and chips and pork bites. If you intend to try three courses, go hungry, as the portions are fairly large.

I absolutely recommend it for those looking for a peaceful and restful charm pub atmosphere with healthy and tasty food in well served, plentiful servings. A great find in a village south of Lancaster. The accommodation is beautiful. The meals are a real treat because the 2 chefs who own the inn have established an excellent cuisine.

A nice place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. The manager stayed up extra late to accommodate me and even managed to find a taxi from Lancaster in the middle of the night, when none were available! 1010 for service! The accommodation was comfortable with a well stocked mini cartridge, and the location was perfect for a break away with lots of walks and nice countryside all around.

I've not written a review in a while, but the angel inn deserves my effort. We visited a week ago for a lunch and learned that it was under new management, and we obtained a copy of the Sunday lunch menu. 5 adults and 1 infant booked today. Fantastic! Nothing more to say. Once again, so family friendly, and the chef took time to talk to our grandchild. Great touch First off, the drinks are superb, moreti, real ales, and a wide variety of spirits. Excellent prices. The best in the area. Food! Where do I begin? Restaurant quality. Sunday lunch starter, main, and desserts as if you were dining in the crown hotel in bantry. As you know, from my previous reviews and my 6 ok followers, I don't usually give praise. Try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Is a beer garden with games and toys to keep kids entertained as well. Excellent.

In the angel inn we stayed one night. The rooms are in a courtyard away from the pub. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The rooms have tea, coffee and biscuits. There is a mini bar too. The breakfast was great and freshly cooked to order.
