Overall, we were happy with this hotel and had a very enjoyable stay. The biggest selling point was the location, which was excellent, and having a room with a view of Edinburgh Castle made the stay feel even more special. The hotel itself was comfortable and well situated for exploring the city, and in general we found it to be a good base for our time in Edinburgh. There were a couple of minor drawbacks — the room had limited USB charging points, and the bathroom could do with some updating — but neither issue was enough to take away from what was otherwise a very pleasant stay. Parking at the rear of the hotel was limited, although given the central location of the property, that was understandable and not entirely unexpected. Overall, this was a good hotel in a fantastic location, and aside from a few small areas that could be improved, we were pleased with our stay and would consider returning.

The staff were extremely helpful, when we checked in we were greeted by a really lovely man who was very helpful and made check in extremely easy. The hotel is in a great location and wasn’t far from anywhere. The room itself was very comfy and everything we needed was provided. Later on I went down to the bar and the staff were really helpful in providing some drinks. All in all, I don’t have any bad things to say about the hotel. 10/10 would highly recommend!

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. It was conveniently situated where you can easily walk around the whole city center ans thankfully there was onsite parking so that was a plus. Good restaurants and shopping was nearby and the view of Edinburgh Castle was awesome. The only item to note is while you have a balcony its not acceptable and the window only opens a few inches. That wasn't mentioned in the description. We didn't partake in any meals at the hotel because we wanted to explore the city. Also because you are so close to everything it's not quite in the evening but that's to be expected. All in all we had a decent stay.

The property was kept very clean and felt very safe. It was located in a very convenient spot that was walkable to restaurants and attractions. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to us and our two babies, especially when we required milk for our youngest child at odd hours of the night.

This was our first visit to Edinburgh, and we absolutely loved our stay at the Apex Grassmarket Hotel. The location, spacious room, and welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect home base for exploring the city. We traveled to meet up with friends, who joined us in Edinburgh, and the hotel was within easy walking distance of so many of the city’s iconic sights. While there are definitely some uphill walks, we enjoyed exploring on foot to the Royal Mile, Victoria Street, and Edinburgh Castle, stopping along the way at charming cafés, local shops, and traditional pubs. After arriving from London by train, it was a wonderful surprise that our room was ready a little before the standard check-in time. That extra convenience was greatly appreciated after a morning of travel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Apex Grassmarket Hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh. Its outstanding location, comfortable accommodations, and friendly service made our first visit to this beautiful city even more memorable.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet, and we had a nice view of the castle. There were ample choices for breakfast. We were also close to everything we wanted to see. Just be prepared for several steps up to the reception desk and again up to the elevators. On the whole, this was a very enjoyable place to stay in Edinburgh.
