Dee gave us a lovely and helpful welcome when we first came, and we soon felt right at ease. A lovely, helpful host, and a lovely, very well-equipped double room with our guarantee shower and a lovely view of the town. Excellent cooked breakfast every morning with beautifully poached eggs. When Dee asked if we wanted dogs and when we said no, we were introduced to her two Jack Russell toilet spikes and, of course, raft the cat, who were all very kind and friendly. We had a lovely experience here, and Dee is a wonderful host who set up our taxi to and from a nearby hotel for our dinner as well. If anyone is considering visiting Kirkcudbright, I would advise making supper reservations in advance. We were fortunate because most restaurants in hotels had reservations well in advance, despite the fact that we were able to have dinner every night, we were fortunate because most of the establishments were already booked. We had a great time at Barrhill Woods I and would most definitely return.

I would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning. Beautiful, tastefully furnished accommodations with the added benefit of a lounge and sunroom for guests to use where I spent a considerable amount of time looking out at the amazing views. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Dee was an excellent hostess, very friendly and accommodating. We took our dog, and she particularly liked exploring the woods, which are a 2 minute walk from the house, and the beaches, which are a 5 to 10 minute drive away. Kircudbright town center is also only a 5 to 10 minute walk away, so if you want to drink a drink with your evening meal, you don't have to drive.

We received a pleasant and friendly greeting from Dee upon our arrival, and we became very at home from there. Beautiful, helpful host, and a lovely, fully equipped double room with our guarantee shower room and great views over the city. Deliciously cooked breakfast each morning with delicious cooked eggs. When Dee asked if we wished to talk to dogs, we were met by her two Jack Russell toilet spikes and of course, raft, the cat, who were all very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our visit here, and Dee is a wonderful host who also set up our taxi to and from a nearby hotel for our dinner. Book dinner in advance is one piece of advice I would give anyone considering a trip to Kirkcudbright, as we were lucky that most hotels restaurants were reserved far in advance, despite the fact that we were able to get dinner each night. We spent time with dee at Barrhill Woods I and would undoubtedly return.

Excellent value for money and looking forward to returning in the future. Excellently furnished accommodation with the added benefit of a lounge and sun room where I spent a lot of time gazing out at the stunning views. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Dee was a wonderful hostess, very pleasant and helpful. We brought our dog, and she especially liked to run around the woods, which are a 2-minute walk from the property, and the beaches, which were only a 5- to 10-minute drive away. The town center of Kircudbright is also only a 5- to 10-minute walk away, so you don't need to drive if you want a drink with your evening meal.
