The room is large and well-equipped, with bathrobes and slippers provided. It's a good standard but the staff has limited food. Breakfast is nice, the receptionist is helpful and friendly and better than other more expensive hotels. That's make me want to give it a 4-star rating.

We booked for 3 nights to go on Jacobites Train. The hotel is perfect. Only 3 minutes walk to the town center. The staff and food are excellent. They all coped well as it was fully booked and very busy at meal time. Good parking if you have a car even have spillover parking. The views from the hotel are spectacular. Breakfast the best I've had self-service, great choice. thank you for the great stay.

This hotel is very well situated in Fort William, within walking distance of the town center, eateries, etc. The town of Fort William is a bit dirty and noisy, but I was very glad we stayed at the cruachan, which is located in a quieter area opposite the loch but still very close to town. The parking lot gets full quickly, but we always found a spot during our three-day visit, and I realize there is an overflow parking lot every close by. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was good and included in the price.

This wasnt the ideal place to stay for the night, though it was more of a business hotel than a vacation. Even if the towels were high over the bath, they werent ideal for a tiny person, the receptionist was friendly. The staff was friendly, and the comfortable bar area served delicious supper. The dining rooms breakfast made us disappointed. We felt uneasy opening the lids on the toilet because it was selfservice, but luckily, we had our own hand sanitizer. The personnel werent as welcoming as other guests on our trip.

For three days, we stayed here. The rooms are comfortable, warm, and nicely decorated. The downside is that the walls are quite thin, so you can hear your neighbors, and the water pressure is very poor, so don't expect a good shower, which is unfortunate because both rooms are really nice with a walk-in shower. Breakfast is an integral part of the deal, but it isn't free as it is already factored into the cost you pay. It is a nice Scottish breakfast with often fatty sausage, no potential for our European visitors, but its a substantial breakfast that I'm sure we never left hungry. It is served by very hardworking staff who never stops and is always willing to cook. There are no meals in the evening due to personnel shortages, which was a little disappointing when you don't have transportation to go out in the pouring rain. It would have been nice if there were some nibbles or sandwiches in the bar area, don't think you need a chef for them and encouraged people to stay and drink. Saying you can't have takeout in the hotel seems a bit of double standards, but you can when they have no evening meals. This is a lovely hotel with very good hardworking staff, but due to some issues, I would recommend it because its location is lovely.

About Cruachan Hotel

An established hotel for many years, the Cruachan offers quality, affordable, bed and breakfast accommodation, plus bar and restaurant.
