We can't praise this hotel enough it so friendly and warming all staff and management couldn't do enough for us enjoyed so much we will be back again we did not want for anything anybody that gives this hotel a bad review doesn't deserve to stay in hotels thank you so much

My partner and I were looking for a central hotel for my first fishing trip in the area and night out over a weekend. This hotel was ideal for what we needed, providing onsite parking and a cooked takeaway breakfast at 630 am. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and it was them who really made the hotel so welcoming. They also really contributed to it's character and feel. We didn't try the hotel's cuisine, but we did start and end the evening from the nicely decorated bar area. We could have easily stayed there all evening, but wanted to explore.

The place was in a great location but we will not be back. The room was ok, clean but dated. I had to wait a long time for someone to check us in. Breakfast was terrible. Instant coffee and water from a urn. Breakfast order was taken the previous night and I think they cooked it the previous night.

We were a little bit hesitant as there are some mixed reviews online. But we really enjoyed our stay. the decor is a little dated other than that. The room was clean had all the expected facilities and was warm even on a foggy december weekend. One commenter mentioned the road noise. our room was in the annex facing London road and while it could benefit from better glazing the road noise didnt disturb our sleep. Service was excellent. As was the breakfast

It was clean, the team were friendly and helpful. One lady in particular was very helpful for us and genuinely friendly asking us how our day was at the festival and helping me to freeze my freeze blocks for my back pack. I think she was the main manager there, always that’s working, I didn’t catch her name though.
