The property is a wonderful grade II listed building with oodles of character. The breakfast room is exquisitely decorated with busts of famous peots in which you can eat a sumptuous cooked full english breakfast. The property is wonderfully peaceful and the beds as beautifully soft and comfortable. If you are looking for a modern sparse hotel then this is not it, and you should look elsewhere. If you like a wonderful property with bags of history to it then you are in luck!

Very comfortable. This hotel is set in a very old house with great architecture, so is not modern at all in many ways. However the staff are friendly, the rooms quirky and comfortable, and it has a pool. Breakfast is good, set in a lovely room.

Decent enough place. Slightly dated and creaky but in a characterful way and owners are clearly working hard to tidy the place up. Putting the breakfast waiter into smarter clothes would help as casual tops and shorts really don’t cut a professional image. Above all it was great to stay somewhere that hadn’t got the heating cranked up to crematorium levels and windows that can be opened properly which gave a comfortable nights sleep.

No fuss check-in room clean and well laid out pool was so welcome after long drive and food was DeVine, Will be booking again as such a nice place to stay. Would recommend if you have a family and want a place to stay as it is vast and you won't even know anyone else is staying there, so kids can play without worrying about neighbours. there were 4 of us 2 adults a 17 year old and a 13year old boy with autism, was nice not to have to keep saying sorry about the boy he is Autistic, (he had a great time) he said it was a great Vacation.

Das ist von einer uralt Gebäude ausgemachte Hotel! Gebäude rundum ist eine größere Garten mit sehr dichte Bäume, unglaublich sehr sehr schöne uralt Innenausstattung: roter Leder Couch, Kamin, Original massiv Holzboden aus 1800…. und sehr besonderes ist, frühstück in einer so genannte „Gedichte Restaurant“, mit uralt Bücherregal, jeder Handgriff von den Bücherregal ist einer bekannte Gedichter‘s Kopf, von Handarbeit damals in 1800‘ gefertigt. Wunderbare schön! Natürlich auch die Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterin! Sehr sehr zum empfehlen! Unvergesslich eine Hotel in meine ganz Leben!

Easy 30 minute walk to the train station. Lovely old building with comfortable rooms. The reception isnt manned until the evenings, we needed to drop our bags early and the breakfast chef was so helpful

The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the hotel itself looks like it needs quite a lot of money spending on it to update it. The room was chilly (radiator needed bleeding) and water pressure in the shower was virtually non-existent.
