I've had a food intolerance, so I booked this place for a day long meeting. Caroline and her team and the chefs were fantastic at assisting me. I felt very well taken care of. The food was delicious and served quickly. Nice atmosphere and great conference room.

The Golden Lion entered at the right time to accommodate the Riley Register Am, and the arrangements were amazing. We personally have also had their wonderful overnight hospitality preceded by a hearty and tasty dinner. The generous servings of delicious food, and the cozy, well-appointed room made for a wonderful stay.

It's all thanks to the good food, plus the friendly staff. The homemade soup is very good and tasteful. We had the best steak pie I can remember, with the best tart, the most flavorful meat, and the gravy. This is a lovely old pub with a very charming.

We visited the Golden Lion today, almost 10 years after our wedding reception there. It was lovely and tranquil for us to sit outside under the canopy. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming. The fish fingers for children were more like tiny fish fillets, perfectly prepared, and the cuisine was wonderful. The hamburgers were incredibly delectable. If you need a peaceful, relaxed place to eat at lunch, we heartily endorse the golden lion. There is plenty of parking at the top of the drive, and the patio area is perfect for lunch. We wont be returning for ten years!.

I really appreciate the excellent service and food that this hotel has given. My daughter and boyfriend who traveled from Bristol and are used to live in the city and are very content with the service here. They have a great service and friendly service, the food they provide is delicious and hot, the beef pie is filling with beef, and the pastry fish and chips have the best starter sauce, and this is a well-deserved review, you won't be disappointed.
