Outstanding reception and dining room staff. Both friendly and efficient. Excellent cooked breakfast included. A 20 minute walk from Sheffield Hallhamshire Hospital make this hotel ideal for those attending the hospital from distant locations.

Another excellent stay at Halifax Hall. The only slight blemish was having to remind the staff in the restaurant on two occasions that we were waiting for our breakfasts after making the order. That apart, first class.

Situated within quiet university residential campus, with lots of green space. A long way from shops/eateries, but the bar food is really good, as is breakfast! Friendly, welcoming staff.

Receptionist on arrival very helpful and friendly . When I asked a waiter about dining I was told it was too busy in the dinning room !! I was not impressed Eventually I ended up eating in the bar whereby the table wasn’t set for me I had to ask for condiments and a water and water glass Food disappointing. The chips I ordered with a burger were burnt initially so I sent them back. Some of the replacement chips weren’t cooked ! Would not eat dinner there again . However there was a top up station on each floor for E less biscuits sweets tea/ coffee / milk at no extra cost .

Beautiful hotel with lots of character! Some parts of the room in a little disrepair (skirting boards and extractor fan in bathroom need some TLC), the bed was a little firm for my liking, but generally really comfortable room. Coffee machine on 3rd floor broken which was a bit of a shame as no tea/ coffee facilities in the room. Overall though really lovely staff, fantastic breakfast and even though it’s situated next student halls they were very quiet and not an issue! Place is well situated and Sheffield is easily accessible via car, we really enjoyed our trip!

My favourite hotel in the area! OK it's not central, unless you are visiting the university but it is quiet and not far to walk to a range of places to eat. Service is excellent as is the cooked-to-order breakfast.

Excellent service great room sizes old though clean ,comfortable and up to date interiors. Breakfast was exceptional quality and freshly cooked every morning. Staf super friendly and helpful though not pushy or commercially agressive. I had the feeling that the customer was key wish resulted in a very plezant stay. I really recommend this hotel

The booking process was easy and communications were informative. Our room, a little small, but comfortable and very clean. Coffee facilities are located centrally on each floor and provide a range of tea, coffee, chocolate, real milk and biscuits. Food (evening meal and breakfast) was wonderful, lovely choice and well presented. Will be our hotel of choice for future visits to Sheffield.
