The room was simple and clean, which is what I expected for the budget price. Hot water morning and evening for a good shower. Good breakfast buffet and friendly staff. Very good location, just a 10- to 15-minute walk up a slight hill from Waverley. Would stay again.

Location is great. A very short walking distance to both sides of the Royal Mile and within walking distance of Princes Street over the North Bridge. There are many eateries around the hotel featuring cuisines from all over the world at more affordable prices than at the castle end of the Royal Mile. For those on a budget Piemaker across the road has excellent pies. Quality pie and softdrink for just under 5 pounds. There is a small Sainsburys a few steps from the hotel.Try the sweet Scottish strawberries and raspberries in July. An efficient laundrette is situated on Jeffery.Street off the Royal Mile at Canongate.Howeve the standout feature of this hotel for me were the friendly, helpful staff. I am glad I am stayingvthere again mid July.

An excellent location, close to the hop-on hop-off bus and museums. There seems to be a fair amount of dining options. The restaurant and bar in the lower level is quite good. We enjoyed their fish and chips for dinner. The the bar which is part of the restaurant has a nice selection of local beers. We had to leave early for a flight back to the US, so we didn't get a chance to try the breakfast. Maybe next time. They will also hold luggage so if you are getting off of a cruise or something no worries.

Hôtel très bien placé. Personnel au top. Le seul point négatif c'est le manque de prise à côté du lit.

Nice, clean hotel conveniently close to the Royal Mile and numerous other attractions. Probably the quickest check-in I've ever experienced. Rooms are just as pictured online. Good breakfast.

El hotel muy bien ubicado. El staff muy servicial y atento. La habitación, la cama, bastante comoda. Si eres americano o latino, recuerda llevar adaptador electrico, no tienen. Y solo hay una salida de USB lejos de la cama. Unico inconveniente.
