This is a great place to stay because it is close to the city center of Manchester. It also has a good clean pub that is well known by both guests and the general public. Also, the price was quite affordable with many options around, though I'm not sure if the price is just a result of the hotel itself.

I really liked this place, so here's my honest and sincere review. I reserved a room through hotels. Com last minute when my train was canceled, simply needed a place to stay for one night within walking distance of Manchester Piccadilly and was so fortunate to arrive here. If you're a queerfriendly and social person, then go right to the new union. Even though it was past their usual check-in time, I was fortunate to find someone by phone who told me someone at the bar could assist me, the rooms are above a gay bar. When I arrived, the drag performer was on vacation, so he assisted me with my suitcase, and the manager checked me in quickly. The room was simple but tidy, the bathroom appeared to have just undergone renovations, and the bed was very comfortable. The music continued until late, but since I was exhausted and had good earplugs, that wasn't a problem. I went downstairs to the bar and had a glass of wine, a hot shower with excellent water pressure, and went straight to sleep. I had to leave early before their am checkout time, so I left my 20 key deposit with them, even though the manager informed me that if I left them a note, I could pick it up the next time I was in Manchester.
