Central location. Easy transfer from Trumpington Park & Ride. Easy check in. Comfortable room 201. Breakfast good, although not always easy for the staff to manage and maintain. 2 pay points in Oz & Isle would help service. Room 201 underfloor heating kept switching on. Bath was slippery when showering. Thank you for looking after us.

Virkelig smukt hotel med flot bevaring af den originale bygning. Meget serviceminded personale. Fint værelse med mini-køkken. God morgenmad - dog savnede vi scrambled eggs (der var fried eggs). Meget centralt - kan varmt anbefales.

Lovely new hotel in renovated, historical surroundings! My room was gorgeous, the shower was large and had really nice product, the staff were helpful (although there was some confusion about how often the room got cleaned and it if was possible to request a greater frequency). Note: they need to staff more people for the restaurant. It's a beautiful place but if there's only one person managing orders, billing, and the espresso bar, they're going to be stressed. That's not the staff's fault, that's a matter of management.

I took a single studio room for a night. It was perfect for a single person, yet cleverly equipped with all the usual amenities one would expect. The staff were friendly, and I especially appreciated their late checkout policy. Although I didn’t get the chance to dine there, the breakfast looked pretty good. And all of this for a pretty reasonable price. The only thing that bothered me was the heating/cooling- it was concentrated in a narrow area, and not the most effective.

Great check in experience. Got there before 1pm and my room was ready. The staff ran through all I needed to know about the hotel and virtually took me to my room. The room was clean and comfortable, which had a small kitchenette. Nice to have a Nespresso machine, great touch. I had a great nights sleep in a lovely bed, what more could you want. The shower was easy to use even for me! You push a button and works! Brilliant. The building itself is stunning, especially the restaurant/bar which has lots of history. All the staff there are so helpful and kind, I’ll be coming back that’s for sure. I highly recommend this hotel.

Asked to have the room serviced but, when we got back, it hadn't been. 'Can you clean it and give us new towels etc?' 'No' But they did offer us breakfast as compensation. The coffee is fine. The continental is poor, no fruit salad for instance... whole apples. bananas and tangerines instead. They can't warm up the pain au chocolat or croissants. Hot breakfasts: The plates aren't warm. The fried eggs are quite rubbery by the time you get down there. Same with the sausages and bacon. The bread (good sourdough) is sliced in half so that you need the tongs to get it out of the toaster. Metal tongs... Where have I read that metal tongs in a toaster with the power on, even if the timer switch has run its course, is a really bad idea? Oh yes, every Health & Safety briefing you've ever experienced. And the person, nominally, in charge of the breakfast room is too busy looking at her phone to care... We think there must have been Northerners in the room above ours as they seemed to clog dance most nights as we got ready for bed... till quite late... Excellent location though.

Booked a one night stay for a theatre trip, however the bar/restaurant area was 'out of bounds' to guests as there was a private function going on! If we had been told this at time of booking we would probably have gone elsewhere. When you're paying nearly £200 a night you expect to be able to access everything the hotel has to offer - particularly as this is a key feature of the hotel.......

I'd booked this weekend for my boyfriend's birthday. Great location, small room, clean other than a hair in the shower upon entering. Shower was terrible, had to use the hand attachment which would make hair washing tricky. Toilet constantly trying to fill up (did mention shower & toilet to receptionist, but there was no improvement). I'd also asked for something to be left in the room for my boyfriends birthday & exoected to pay, but this was nlt done.

We struggled to get even the bare minimum of service during our stay. We had to ask several times just to get clean towels and have our rubbish bin emptied, but nothing was done. To make matters worse, the breakfast was absolutely not worth the price. The hot food choices were slim (or cold food for that matter) and the staff struggled to keep them replenished. Everyone ended up standing around just waiting for the next batch of food to be brought out.

The room I had on the second floor is in the eaves, so I had to be bent over to walk around the bed. As a result, I injured my back. In addition, the room was incredibly overheated, but I couldn’t close the open window because the toilet smelled absolutely horrible. I will not be staying here again.
