Modern, spotlessly clean large room Very well presented Comfortable bed Great breakfast, freshly cooked & good quality. We ate there during the evening & the food was very good. Ideal base for visiting fountains abbey & Harlow Carr. Although it’s on quite a busy road our room was very quiet.

The very warm welcome and smiling friendly service from the staff I received from the very start made my stay particularly special. The room was quiet and separate from the main building. It was kept spotlessly clean. The food was excellent; breakfasts were varied and excellent and the meal I had in the restaurant was also of a very high quality. I cannot recommend THE INN highly enough!

This was our 3rd visit to The Inn at South Stainley. We had 4 days and 3 nights and again we enjoyed ourselves. We had our dinner for 3 nights at The Inn which were filling and excellent. Likewise can be said for the breakfast we also had. The room we stayed in was in premises alongside The Inn which was of a high standard and serviced daily. Hopefully we will be back. Thanks

Amazing stay at The Inn South Stainley. I booked this stay as a surprise for my husband for his birthday and my birthday being the week after. We’d planned to visit the tractor show at Newby hall so was ideally located. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. They even left a birthday message and treat in our room which was greatly appreciated. The food for dinner and breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely return in future.

The room and the entire property was very well presented and fresh. The restaurant was also exceptional with top level table service and a great menu. Only negatives are that road facing room was a little noisy during the morning and evening rush hours and the security light in the room was quite intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stop over.

This was a lovely Inn. It was spotlessly clean everywhere and very well maintained. The staff were all friendly. The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice for everyone. We had a room in one of the ouside lodges with a bacony. These were in a block of 6, 3 at the front overlooking the grounds and gardens and 3 at the back with views of trees. The back rooms had a problem with seeds from the trees dropping all over our balcony and on the seating area. I felt sorry for the room maid having to clean those rooms as the seeds trod in everywhere. However this did not detract from our break and the management our trying to deal with the problem. Rooms at the front would be better but not as private as the back ones. South Stainley is a quiet place within easy reach of Harrogate. Our room had everything needed. The towels were large and of excellent quality. Beds very comfortable and we both slept like logs on both nights. We enjoyed our stay . Thank you
