The Northgate is in an excellent location which allows you to explore Bury St. Edmonds with a short walk. The rooms and the grounds are beautiful and the syaff amazing. We did the chefs table dinner and had auch a fantastic meal! Would highly recommend

Fantastic stay. Staff are terrific. Friendly, courteous, and very aware of client needs. Barman makes superb cocktails with a degree of theatre! Very professional. Food was superb - dinner and breakfast. Very convenient location in a very beautiful city. Highly recommended. We will be returning.

The staff were excellent, very attentive and looked after us very well. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Only downside was the stairs as we both have creaky knees. Would go back again but book a room on a lower floor.

Food was excellent. Was especially impressed with the vegan black pudding dish on the dinner menu. Our rooms were right at the top of several flights of deep stairs so older visitors might want to ask on which floor their rooms will be.

Great location just a 2 minute walk from the town centre of Bury St Edmunds. Hotel is spotless with very attentive and polite staff, great boutique rooms and quiet and spacious gardens out the back to have a drink or snack.
