A really enjoyable stay, beautiful comfortable room, great bathroom & toiletries, breakfast was lovely & dinner in the restaurant was very good but the best thing about our whole stay was the staff, they were all so friendly & welcoming & went above and beyond to make out stay very memorable. The hotel is in a brilliant position 2 mins from the beach & shops all around, they were on site parking was a godsend as parking is in short supply in Lyme, I would definitely stay here again, if I did have a complaint the WiFi was very hit & miss & we could only get bbc on the tv but we were out most evenings so didn’t matter too much.

Well presented room and amenities. Luxury bath products, bedding and towels. Car parking a big bonus for Lyme Regis. Very dog friendly we had a courtyard room. Breakfast choice extensive. Location superb.

It is a lovely old hotel and therefore certain limitations for those seeking the conformity of a Premier Inn but if you accept that you see that the management have made every effort to make your stay comfortable and pleasurable. Room decor and bedding is well chosen. There is a piano, reasonably in tune. The seagulls are noisy and sometimes some machinery but just look at the view across the town to Golden Cap. A picturesque view that would satisfy Pissarro. Food is good, served by friendly, genuine staff.

Vi hade rum med terrass och det var rent, modernt, luftigt och med skön säng. Badrummet var toppklass. Frukosten hade väldigt bra utbud. Hade önskat mer av personalens bemötande vid incheckningen och några av hotellets utrymmen var väldigt varma med dålig ventilation.

Lovely stay within walking distance to the beach and the bus stop. The bed was really comfortable and despite the heatwave, the room was quite cool - I appreciated that very much. The hotel clearly cares about their guests as I heard one employee asking another if all the rooms were stocked with water and they refilled my and others’ water bottles with cold water.

The receptionist Sharon was very helpful. We had a room with a terrace which was great as it was during the the heatwave and helped the room to stay cool. The breakfast was excellent. We will stay here again.

We had a great stay at The Royal Lion Hotel in Lyme Regis. The location was ideal; the parking was a bonus; the room was large and comfy; and the staff was very friendly and accommodating from booking to check-in and check-out. The hotel is packed with history and added to a wonderful first visit to the popular area.

An amazing old 16 th century hotel right in the middle of everything. Great friendly staff all of whom made us and my dog really really welcome. Great place to stay. Room was clean though the bathroom sink took a while to drain. Parking was good enough and as I had the dog with me our breakfast was served in the bar which was really very nice. Great place to stay

We absolutely loved our stay at the Royal Lion. Perfect location, lovely room and great service. Breakfast was a nice experience with plenty of choice. Sharon on reception was really helpful and made check-in and out an easy, seamless experience.

Amazing helpful staff, good breakfasts, comfy beds and charming old pub. The icing on the cake is the location- just 2 minutes walk to the beach and other restaurants- plus free parking, which is a rarity in Lyme Regis.

We are so pleased we booked the Royal Lion! The location is excellent and you're right in the heart of Lyme Regis. The room we booked (deluxe double room with terrace) was excellent. Clean, welcoming and comfortable. There were extra touches like the selection of teas and coffees as well as biscuits and some cans of water. There was parking at the hotel too. Even though it is a fairly small car park, we always found a space. We ate at the restaurant every evening while we were there. An excellent selection of choices. Full marks! Breakfast was something to look forward to as well. A buffet breakfast as well as a large menu for a cooked breakfast. This was all included in the reasonable fixed breakfast price. All the staff from the minute we checked in were great. Sharon greeted us at reception and advised us about the restaurant and breakfast, as well as the parking. Sending a thank you to the friendly helpful staff in the restaurant and at breakfast, Tom and Abbie! Apologise for forgetting the other names of the staff we met. This is an excellent hotel and we would definitely recommend a stay here
