we really enjoyed our stay and wished we had stayed longer in a nice quiet area big car park amazing food at dinner and breakfast good value for money and excellent friendly staff rooms big an comfortable amazing rain shower and a great idea of seperate duvets no more hubby hogging the duvet we had a dog friendly room but didnt have a dog which just booked a last minute stay on the way home from cornwall for our anniversary if in the area would stay again

Both the venue and staff were first class, after a long drive down for business they couldn’t have been more helpful in checking me in. The selection of food and drink was excellent and the room clean and very comfortable.

We have stayed at the Sawmills many times and keep coming back. It is in a beautiful location with great walks on the doorstep, the rooms are super comfy and it is great that there are dog friendly rooms. The breakfast is out of this world as are the Sunday lunches. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We’ll be back soon!

Highly recommend. Room was a good size and nicely presented. It is literally above the pub but has it's own entrance and it's not a noisy pub. The breakfast is downstairs in the pub and was very good, cooked to order. We would have happily eaten in the pub in the evening as well, if we weren't out exploring. Idillic location next to the stream with outside seating for a drink in the evening.

The staff were all really, really helpful. It was a great place to stay just a few minutes walk from the Sandy Cove Hotel where we were visiting for a wedding. Highly recommended!

There is nothing you could complain about. The beds are lovely, nice pillows and very cloud like duvet. Perfectly clean and comfortable room. Our dogs were welcome in their pet-friendly rooms and even given a sausage breakfast to their delight. We’ve eaten here many times. The roast is one of the best I’ve ever had. Always the same high standard. This is the vacation “local” pub that you wish your village had. And so reasonably priced for the service and quality.

This was an amazing place to stay. The staff were excellent and friendly. Especially the General Manager Ryan who went above and beyond to make my stay special. The room was spotless, comfortable, and a great size. The food in the restaurant was tasty, great choice and huge portions. I would highly recommend the Sawmills. I shall definitely be returning .
