A nice clean warm room well maintained local rum and cake in the room. Excellent food served in a very friendly atmosphere even due to COVID the place was busy. Our 3rd stay here but will not be the last.

Wonderful place. Would definitely recommend it to everyone. Only 3 rooms so really intimate. Rooms well maintained and huge and comfortable. Lovely gesture of rum and scones left in the room. Friendly bar stuff and food out of this world!

2nd visit here and this time brought our friend, did not disappoint again, staff super friendly nothing is too much trouble and you're made to feel welcome, we hadn't booked a table for the restaurant but they still managed to squeeze us in even though it was really busy,, evening meal was superb and well presented and a good breakfast also. Will definitely return to this delightful establishment in a quiet village central to all Northumbrian sites

Only stayed for one night midweek. Everything was excellent; the staff, our room, our dinner and breakfast. The hotel is very handy for the A1 but is in a small hamlet with no other amenities that we saw. The hotel only has 3 guest rooms so is very quiet.

I have nothing bad to say about the white swan inn. The room was beautiful with rum and cake given every day! It was quiet, just off the a1 and a 20 minute drive to alnwick, seahouses, lindisfarne and accessible to everything. Breakfast was amazing with plenty to choose from and the hosts extremely helpful and polite. I would stay again!

If you are in the area, we advise staying here because Hamburg is approximately a 10-minute drive from the us's greatest beach and impressive castle. Lovely, peaceful little pub on the shore, plenty of parking, and a warm and welcoming welcome. The host showed us around and provided all of the conveniences, including a fridge with fresh milk, bottled water, and fruit bowls. We found 2 large cakes of sponge cake, a little decanter of sloe gin, and two large slices as a welcome present. The room was nicely set out, large enough to sit on the wall with a nice en suite. We had room 2, which overlooked the front, and room 2, which overlooked the front. We enjoyed our evening meal in the pub, which included very nice thick cod and chunky chips with homemade tartar sauce and local beer to wash it down. Breakfast consisted of delicious fresh coffee, pastries, toast, avocado, and poached eggs on toast, and pancakes with fruit and maple syrup. The bar area was nice, and dogs were welcome to remain and be in the bar, which will keep us coming back.
