The property was charming and I loved having the balcony overlooking the creek. Staff were very nice and helped us bring our bag down from the 2nd floor. Bed was comfortable. The coffee maker appeared not to work, but it wasn’t a big deal. We would definitely stay there again.

We were very happy with our stay here. The room looked brand new and was probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed in that wasn't $300/night. I really appreciated the easy river access and the refrigerator w/ a little freezer. Beds were clean, the room did not ever feel humid and uncomfortable. The only thing that would have improved our stay would be a grill - there was not a grill available for use.

Argo Inn is an older property. But it was squeeky clean!!! And you can get a room RIGHT ON THE RIVER with a little lanai to enjoy! We loved our stay here. We'll absolutely come again when in Idaho Springs!!!

This is a solid, reliable hotel and a great value for the price. It’s a safe, clean place to stay with friendly staff and no major issues during my visit. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful water creek nearby. It was a lovely spot to relax and take in the scenery. The hotel is older, so the rooms and common areas have a classic, dated feel rather than a modern one. If you’re expecting contemporary luxury, this might not be the place for you. However, everything was well-maintained, comfortable, and functional. Overall, I’d happily stay here again for its convenient location, safety, and peaceful surroundings. Recommended for travelers who appreciate character and practicality over brand-new facilities.”

Great location in Idaho springs. Quiet and easily walkable into town center. Also very close to Indian Hot Springs. Love the view and sound of the river right behind the property! The room itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Perfect spot!!

As other reviews have stated, the hotel needs some updating. Some paint would really make a difference. BUT, having Clear Creek right there was perfect! The sound of the water was very calming. The beds were comfy, but they need new pillows (we brought some).

I’ve stayed at Argo about 6 times and I love it. It’s dated and showing wear, but sleeping with the sliding door open and listening to clear creek roll by is amazing. Despite the wear and tear it’s clean, and I’ll always plan on staying when heading into the mountains from KC.
