Damien was approachable and helpful. Very spacious basement suite with a kitchen but no stove/oven. Only a microwave and full fridge. It was a three block walk to the Metro and we felt safe even at night.

I enjoyed the comforts of home (wifi, kitchen w/breakfast in the cabinets, clean bathroom, and fresh air blowing through the space). The host contacted me the day before my arrival to ask my check-in time, which was helpful. It's a 10-minute walk to the M/R trains, the area is quiet and residential. Great grocery options nearby.

This was a good place to stay. If you don’t mind hiking to the transit line and riding around, it works very well.

Our group of 5 stay absolutely loved it here. It's in a safe neighborhood only a 5-10 minute walk from the subway station. Mr. Damian is a fantastic host, very friendly! Our pantry and fridge was kept stocked, and our rooms clean. They even accommodated for the large party with a third mattress. Our private basement room had it's own private entrance.

This property is located in a quiet area of Queens within easy reach of the subway and laundromats. The hostess is friendly and the accommodation has good privacy. There is some property stored in the accommodation area, but this does not impede use and was not a concern.

Me gusto el lugar, muy bonito y limpio, solo un poco de ruido en las noches.

Host was friendly and flexible with our check-in time. The stay was overall fine. Neighborhood is quiet and nice, very close to supermarket and couple blocks from the subway. The room you stay in is basically in their downstairs basement. You have to walk through their bonus room to access your bathroom, which was fine since the family remained upstairs during our visit and we didn’t really see them. I wish the curtains were darker so we didn’t have bright street lights directly in our face while sleeping. It is not a traditional bed and breakfast where the host makes you breakfast everyday. They just stocked the kitchenette with cereal, milk, and ingredients for PB&J sandwiches. This felt a little misleading as we basically had to buy breakfast every day (since they had provided no fruit or anything healthy/filling). The bathroom was worn with tiles missing, but still totally functional and fine. They have hair dryers, towels, etc.

We enjoyed our stay at Astoria B & B and would definitely stay again. It is located in a neighborhood (a plus for us) away from the action of NYC, but it’s only a short walk to the subway and a few stops on a direct line to Times Square. The space is a downstairs apartment in a home. It includes a bedroom, closet, sitting/dining/kitchen combo, and small but adequate bathroom. The apartment is clean, and the refrigerator and pantry are stocked with basics for breakfast. As we expected, there was no room service which was not a problem though a change of towels once in our four-night stay would have been nice. The wi-fi connection worked well. Overall, a good value for the cost.

Its a private house, which made me feel a little uneasy. The parking is challenging. But the owners made up for those inconveniences with their hospitality and not disturbing you. I stayed 2days .Better than average rooms in hotel. If you stay more than 2 days should make sure they change your sheets. Uncomfortable staying in someone hone i don't know. But i rate this a strong 3 star.

After an extremely long and tiring trip, this was just the place for my daughter and her family. Comfortable, cozy, clean, and reasonably priced. The well stocked kitchen goes beyond breakfast and appeals to a wide range of tastes. Friendly innkeepers that are easy to work with. Since the room was for my daughter and I wanted to pay we were able to arrange this easily. A definite repeat visit should they visit again. Thanks Karen

I have to say that the apartment is located in a basement but there is air and light. The accommodations are spacious and clean. The innkeeper Claudia is helpful, kind and attentive but not ever present and intrusive. Breakfast and W-Lan are provided for self service. I am NYer who lives in Germany and especially liked chatting with Claudia and her husband. They are knowledgeable and cultured people with insight. I also enjoyed discovering the local neighborhood and found it easy to get around and to get to other parts of NYC. Manhattan is only a few subway stops away. This B&B is for independent, well traveled types, who are not afraid to hoof it and get on the subway. A direct bus line to midtown Manhattan is also available nearby. There is every type of nationality right around the corner and basic shopping, cultural and dining experiences are readily available. This is not Sex and The City NY but is great value for the price and Astoria is a real NY neighborhood that feels safe to be in. It is a plus if you are traveling with a child as I was. Thanks again Claudia! I would stay here again anytime.

Three of us stayed quite comfortably for four nights ending July 5, 2014. No complaints from anybody! Breakfast necessities were in the fridge and cupboards, a grocery store is close, and a great German pub a mere couple of blocks away. Access to the subway is fine. We plan to return.

Of course there are many better places to stay but then you will have to pay more... I would say it is a really decent B&B and it is a definitely good value. For that money you can't ask for more - it is NYC! The owner is friendly and helpful. You will find plenty of nice restaurants and bars just around the corner where you will feel the real spirit of city ( there are no tourists). And it is perfect if you have your flights from La Guradia airport. Paulina

ㄴㄴ 이건 아님 삐걱거리는 침대, 층간소음, 작은 화장실, 등등... Well... Totally Unsatisfactory with noise from upper deck, sounding bed, small bathroom, poor facilities.
