Our experience here was great. The hotel was quiet and perfectly located. Clean and efficient. You can't go wrong with a private beach steps away from your room. This is a low frills place, which means it's simple and sweet, a refreshing break from the usual upiddy crowd of cape cod. A true gem. We will be going back, hopefully sooner than later!

My friends and I stayed here for a weekend trip to the Cape. The location was great, with the hotel right on the beach with beautiful views. The room fit the three of us comfortably and had its own deck overlooking the beach. The hotel had an indoor and outdoor pool (though we never got around to using them). Parking was never a problem and the staff was very friendly.

This hotel has a great location - right on the sandy beach, 4 mi from the Truro Vineyards and about 2mi from Commercial St of Provincetown (thus an easy cab-ride over). The staff is really friendly and approaching. The rooms aren't new or fancy, but are good for the price, good enough to sleep in at the end of the day. The indoor and outdoor pool, plus indoor hottubs are all clean and well looked-after.

This old motel really need updating. Very basic. Cheapo hard mattress with no blankets. Poor in-room climate control. No coffee, no cups. Gravel driveway. Seemed pretty expensive for what you get (or don't get). Good location though.

This hotel is on a beautiful beach in a beautiful area. When I arrived the office staff was very rude, to the point where I tried to stay somewhere else but I could not find any vacancy. The shower was very hard to turn on and off. I kept it running a lot of the time. Other then the shower, room 20 was very comfortable. I would stay at this hotel again ONLY if there was no where else to stay. I would rather book a site at a campground though.

Best feature is location. Rooms were dated but clean. Hotel staff responded right away in taking care of room issues. On a private beach.

Arrived early and asked if we could hangout on beach till checkin. Were aloud to checkin as room was done. Room was clean but had that cabin must smell. Due to other reviews I brought febreeze which solved the stink. The pillows are like bricks an would move on thier own an end up on table or floor . The view from deck was great could see most of bay. The walk to beach isn't bad but seems long as in sand. The indoor pool was dirty , he must let his dog swim in there as was dog hair floating around. Overall for $200. / nite can't complain , location to p-town is amazing. 5 min drive to town.

The room had a lovely view and had everything we needed. The bed had huge valleys and could probably use a new mattress. There was a ridge in the middle, so we didn't roll into each other which was good. There was a definite musty smell in the room which was better when the sliders were opened a little. Walking to and along the beach was great. We were able to see several different species of shorebirds on these walks. The rugosa roses nearby were filled with birdlife also, including mockingbirds and catbirds. This is a true birders' destination. It was obvious that the place was getting ready to close up for the winter and it looked a little tired and run down. There was painting going on, so it may look better in the spring. It was quiet and convenient to P'town and beaches. .

Run down place. Everything is in bad shape. Had to switch rooms because of ant infestation. Too expensive for what is offered. Too bad. Location is great. Nice beach.

We were hung up on twice when we initially called this place to cancel our reservation - a male employee told us "there is no cancellation policy" and "good luck" before hanging up on us. When we arrived an older woman told us that their cancellation policy is normally two weeks in advance, but she did accommodate us by giving us a bigger room for the two nights which was nice of her to do. Although the room was close to the beach it did not distract enough from the condition of the hotel. The first thing you see are grounds that are totally neglected and unkempt, but the first thing you smell in the room is a moldy basement, the kind your grandma doesn't even do laundry in. There were ACTUALLY basement centipedes crawling on the ceiling and walls. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the cabinets smelled of pure gag-inducing mold, there was black mold on the ceiling above the shower, and when we tried to move the blinds that covered the sliding-glass door, 2 blinds promptly fell off and broke on the ground. If this room were $100-150 per night, I would have endured it without a complaint. The room WAS spacious and we WERE a walk from the beach. But for $220 per night?! I should at least have peace of mind that bugs won't be crawling on me while I sleep and that I won't turn into a black mold spore by the time I leave.

I stayed at the Beachfront White Sands hotel for four days over the Labor Day Holiday. The location of the hotel on the beach in North Truro was good. However, there were problems with the toilet not flushing well and noise from the AC in the room as well as noise from other sources at night. The room was clean and neat but the room condition and amenities were just OK. My contact with hotel staff was limited during my visit but staff services that seem to be available are very limited.

Lack of privacy due to units opening in view of each other's bedrooms, otherwise would have enjoyed sitting out on the deck and having sliders open instead of closing curtains and turning on air conditioner.

The only pleasant thing about our stay was the hotel owners dog and he growled when we came in!

This entire facility was threadbare and run in a way that made no attempt to make on feel welcome. The mattress was long past due for replacement and the pillows were as soft as bags of sand. The comforter was in tatters. The tub stall was broken with it's safety bar removed. There was no evidence of maid service. The WiFi was unusable or off 80% of the time and when we could connect speeds were in the ultra slow range of 40-kbs. There was no one in the motel office to answer questions except during small periods in early morning and late afternoon. The TV did work and there was a small frig and useable microwave. There was easy access to the beach with a nice view. By any standards this facility did not rate the two stars it was carrying.
