This place was great! For the price, I expected very little. It was extremely late at night and I just needed sleep, so I wasn't concerned with amenities, but this was place quite nice for a budget place.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean, and we could tell that several things had been renovated on the property. Some of the furniture was noticeably worn, but that did not detract from it's serviceability.

The pool, its filled in, its a grass area now. Also the place is near railroad tracks, bring ear plugs. But beyond that its a nice/clean place to stay for cheap, the staff really works hard to keep everything tidy.

My wife, son and I were going to a festival in Sweetwster TX. The following day and we chose Best Budget Inn for its proximity to a great Chinese buffet restaurant as well as to the drive in theater. The hotel was great considering the cost-very reasonable-nice decor,comfortable bed and pillows. Also,we had a microwave and a fridge for those in-room munchies. My wife appreciated the hair dryer and my son the free wi-fi. All in all: GREAT!

The motel served it's purpose, nothing special about it. Bathroom and room was clean. Obvious wear and tear on the bedding, etc... Be aware that trains run beside the location (twice in the night with Horn). Biggest knock against it is the same for ALL of them in Abilene, too pricey for what they are.
