Unique! You are right above the waves crashing all day long! Then miles of open beachfront to walk, look for shells, just enjoy. Jamie at the front desk is warm and friendly and so determined to make sure you have an awesome experience. The property has the gorgeous weathered wood so typically Outer Banks.

The property was beautiful and staff was great. The room was very nice and view of the ocean to die for. The parking was a real issue for us, we got stuck both times we pulled in and out of the property. Hopefully the property owners will invest in something to clear the sand that blows in.

Property was suffering beach erosion after the winter and early storms on the Oceanside. But spectacular view from room and deck on the Oceanside. We should have asked them for a regular coffee pot. Very disappointed that the hot tub was not even warm. We went for beach horseback ride and for 62 yo we sure could have used it. Mgmt tried to get propane for hot tub . But just couldn’t.

Our first room was musty smelling as if it had been under water . But the staff was fantastic and upgraded our room . I know they are dealing with flooding issues . Great job by the staff

Family of 4 with two young kids arrived at 6 air condition in room was not working. At 9:30 air condition still had not been repaired, Had to ask for another room. Rooms were very outdated, broken and missing blinds, broken tiles, leaking shower. Rooms are only a few feet from the ocean which is pretty cool, but keeping sand out of the room is gonna be impossible.

The floor in our room was gritty with sand. It had not been cleaned adequately. Check in was fine. The staff were very friendly. I loved being in a motel on the beach.

The customer service was great but the amenities did not match our expectations. First the pool on site was not open which is one item my family looked forward to using. Second, the kitchen lacked basic utensils. More specifically, there were no forks or other basics. The last point was the television did not work and the furniture was soiled. I would consider staying here again but I would plan appropriately.

Sand everywhere, but not really the fault of the hotel.. It is in a sand dune. Parking limited. Room not fresh, decorative pillows on bed smelly. One sink in bathroom, no storage except corner shelf on back wall. Shower curtain dirty, faucet dripping, moldy caulking. No network TV, Roku streaming only. Nice to set on porch and watch the waves. Great access to wide open beach with many shells.

There is no beach front due to erosion. Ocean view? - the ocean was going under the motel. Could not regulate room temperature and windows would not open to catch the ocean breeze. Floor by entrance door was damaged , lifted, cracked and soft. Don’t let the website pictures fool you!

We booked a 3-day weekend at this motel because of its proximity to the beach and view of the ocean from the room. The room was very sandy - they kept a broom and dustpan in the corner and we had to sweep several times. However the biggest problem was the flooding. When we came back from dinner the 2nd night the ocean waves had come up under the motel, which is on stilts, and flooded the parking lot, the street and part of the parking lot across the street where the office is. They told us to park on the office side of the property. To get to our room we had to wade the sand and water halfway up our shins. The next morning was even worse. With a tropical storm in the forecast we decided to leave a day early. Again we had to cross the flooded parking lots and street carrying all our luggage. My 76 year old husband slipped and fell in the floodwaters injuring his back. As we were leaving the maintenance man told us “this happens all the time.” I do not recommend this motel.
