We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel has had a complete renovation since we stayed six years ago, The room we stayed in was roomy with a large bathroom. It’s close to the beach which is very handy and they provide a shuttle service to town that we used each night. Loved the fire pit, cookies delivered at our door in the afternoon, the beautiful grounds, Nespresso machine in the room. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had the best 3 nights at Carmel Beach Hotel. What beautiful grounds, freshly painted, landscaping was so beautiful. Our room was spacious with a fireplace, hardwood floors, everything look updated and fresh. We have a nice bay window looking over the garden. We loved it! Our bed was so comfortable and the linens were high quality. The shuttle service to town was so incredible when we didn't want to walk. Close to the beach, fire pit and friendly staff. A+ GO AND STAY!!!

Delightfully charming boutique hotel, just 1 street back from the beach. Room was beautiful with gas fire, fantastic bathroom and bay window looking onto the gardens. Staff were great and went out of their way to help with any request (they even had a chauffeur drop off service for dinner at Pebble Beach) Full Breakfast cooked to order was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel, because I was running the Big Sur marathon. It was an amazing hotel to stay for a couple. The rooms were clean. They had some great areas on property to hang out. The beach was a block away.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Small, comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the quick walk to the beach and the grounds were beautiful. Room was very large and parking was a breeze. Very walkable and safe neighborhood. Staff was very friendly. We will be back!

This was a beautiful place to stay in Carmel by the Sea. It is only one block away from a scenic beach with a nice walking trail. The property was immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to order nice breakfasts and have them delivered to our room. This property is a few blocks from downtown so it is very quiet. It was very easy to obtain an Uber for the short ride but the walk is filled with the most beautiful houses to see. Parking is an issue and it is an expensive place to stay but it is still well worth it!

5⭐️ customer service. 1⭐️for Expedia My room was cancelled because my credit card didn’t go through. The room was cancelled 3 days prior to arrival. The same day I received an email from Expedia saying you are all set for Carmel. I was never notified by Expedia that the credit card didn’t go through. Luckily the hotel had 1 room for 1 night and the hotel gave me a cheaper rate for my ocean view room than Expedia. The hotel brought Champagne to my room for the inconvenience. The next day the hotel had a cancellation and offered to move our luggage for us to the room at 11 am. Hotel staff was phenomenal. I called Expedia and their customer service was horrible. They offered zero assistance and their only solution was to prepay for the hotel in the future. This was a perfect example of poor customer service The hotel was beautiful , clean, charming and phenomenal employees. Thank you for turning this into a great experience for less money.

First off, Chanda at reservations is the best! She explained and made sure we know our way around the hotel. The hotel is few steps away from the beach. I have a view of the beach which is like 2 minutes away from my hotel door. I was able to watch the sunset from the balcony. I didn’t do the breakfast since I have to drive back early but passing through the courtyard with pergola, they sure do have beautiful plate settings for those who choose to have breakfast. This is my go to now.

Quiet location with plenty of parking. The grounds were immaculate and the rooms functional. Lovely touches from a welcome gift to an early evening knock on the door with bedtime cookies. Located just minutes from the beach and about 15mins walk to amenities. I would recommend as a good base for exploring.
