The property is not super impressive from the outside based on first impressions. The motel is a modest rural property in remote central Nevada. It is centrally located and with easy access to local services. The check in is a bit unusual. A phone call is required to the owner who provides instructions to the location of the room key and instructions on self check out. After that call, all went smoothly. Rooms were on the small size but were very clean and well stocked with essential travel amenities like microwave oven and fridge and shower stall gels. Air conditioner worked well; essential in central Nevada in mid summer. Overall, I was impressed.

I liked the attention to detail. The tiles in the bathroom were smart. Not the bland interior one gets at most motels. It makes one feel one has arrived someplace unique. Special.

Recently renovated motor court where you park in front the f your room. Additional parking across the street n case you have a very large rig. Room was extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable. Room includes a little refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was everything you needed to be. The linens were great. The towels were super soft. The owner also has a restaurant just up the street called Grandma‘s. You must try. We enjoyed the pork chop dinner and split it because it was such a generous serving.. Full bar. Just a fabulous experience.Self service Keurig coffee in the office…Peet’s. Owner super friendly and wants to make sure you have a wonderful stay.

Awesome funky little place. Very comfortable. Super friendly owners. Gas station next door. Restaurant up the street. My room was very clean and comfortable. This is a great place to stay is Austin is your destination or just a convenient stop along your way. Not much else in either direction for a while. But thankfully, this isn’t one of those “because it’s the only option” places. I’ll plan to stay here rather than my usual stop in Ely next time I’m coming through on 50.

It was unexpected for me to have stayed here, which is probably unusual here. Austin is a remote place that you probably would not normally stumble upon. If traveling on Highway 50, though, this is a very comfortable stopping point. The room is simple, but the bed was comfortable and the shower good. The climate control unit provided white noise during the night, which was good, especially when the rooster across the road got going. Check-in is by phone when you arrive, though very informal. I am sure staff would help in case of further need. There is a 24-hour laundry facility across the road. Fuel is pretty expensive, though that corresponds to the location. A memorable stop.

Clean cozy room , parking and table and chairs for each room outside. Quick checking through the phone app. No amenities but close to restaurant ( Grandma’s) good food and not expensive. Breakfast cafe and gas station close by. I recommend it .

Just what we expected. A small room with the basic amenities. But they nailed the important details - a great bed, high quality linens, soft fluffy towels and a quiet refrigerator. Really easy check-in. Lots of supplies in the small office. Quiet location. The town of Austin was very cool. Helpful suggestions from the staff.

Very easy check-in. The room was small, but incredibly clean. Perfect for my one night stay. They had nice soaps/shower stuff and y’all- they have the GOOD toilet paper! Not that thin, sandpaper junk you need 4 feet of every time you go. Perfect stop along Highway 50 with excellent views!
