I reserved this place for my family, me, my husband, my 19 yr old son big, and my 14 yr old child. The accommodation said it could accommodate 4 adults. One queen bed for me and my husband, and a pull-out couch bed for the boys. There was no couch bed upon arrival, just a futon. The fact that my youngest was home sick kept my 19-year-old with him and our 27-year-old daughter together. She must be able to utilize wifi because she works from home. No! When I called to complain, they said they had wifi and a wifi link on their phone, but they would reset it. It will take an hour for it to reload. I complained again about the futon and wifi when I checked out, and he didn't even cared. He said I was selling you a room, not wifi. I'm sorry to have to write such a terrible review, as I can tell it's a family-run company, but this was the worst stay in Big Bear.

The location is excellent, close to the lake and the village. I booked a Saturday night accommodation at the Fireside Lodge for $129. A fantastic price was offered for a weekend night in this room. The furniture and painting in the room were all in very good condition. The bed was comfortable and there was a fridge, microwave, and a big flat screen. There was a coffee maker with numerous coffee supplies. There was also some microwave popcorn. The towels were soft and luxurious, and the bathroom had plenty of items to give. However, it was too hot on that weekend to use the gas fireplace in this room. The pool is currently under renovation, and the grounds are primarily parking lots and there are no good spots for barbecue or play for kids. In the summer, a ceiling fan could be beneficial in the accommodation.

I would recommend this place. The room was perfect for my needs. The location is on the point and just outside the village. And more importantly, it is only a few miles from the snow summit. The service was great and clean.
