The staff is polite and helpful. The room was nice, had sand on the floor from a previous patron. But otherwise fine. The bathroom was clean. The linens were clean. The pool was OK. Cloudy water. But otherwise OK.

This was our second trip to OCMD but first at The Flamingo. I’m so happy we made this choice! This is simply a good old fashioned beach motel experience. You won’t get huge hotel frills but we did those ourselves in the kitchenette. I read some of the negative reviews and wasn’t she start to expect. The staff were extremely helpful, fixing our tv issue and going out of their way to explain the weird lock situation. We could see our kids playing on the beach from our deck. Need I say more?

I was hesitant due to other reviews about the hotel but winged it an booked it for 2 nights. It's a typical beach hotel, it was outdated. Our room was clean no critters anywhere, I ripped the beds apart/pull out sofa to check. We had 6 people in the room and everyone had a place to sleep. This was a last minute trip as family was driving in from out west and wanted to do the beach right off the bat. Overall it was a typical stay nothing terrible to say. The beach was literally a hop skip and jump away which was great.

Lovely beach view, appeared to be renovating rooms. Had one room’s door open for over 12 hours and we saw multiple cockroaches outside. A bold move. Our room was not updated, but for the cheap price, we got what we paid for. It served its purpose but I was nervous to find roaches in our room. I’d stay here again, hopefully it’ll be updated by then. The staff was great. Helpful and kind. Easy check in/check out.
