The Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas, N.M., is a gem! Reasonable rates, an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, a building with character (it was built in 1882). Staff were pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the morning.

We stayed at the old space of the hotel. It had recently been renovated. The carpet was freshly shampooed. It was extremely clean and so spacious! The room smelled extremely fresh! The layout was perfect in both the bedroom and the bathroom! We truly enjoyed our stay!

The restaurant and bar were closed the whole time I was there (6 days). Not managed by the hotel so they have no control. Same was true when I stayed there a year ago. The coffee bar was closed the first three days and when open the only food available was candy bars, chips, etc. , no pastries,cookies, etc. In the lobby, which is sizeable, the only seating was a settee which could seat two people. If you're waiting to check in or out you stand.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were polite and helpful, and the room was well stocked. The hotel dates back to 1882 and you can feel the history in the building. The floors creak and the doors are heavy. There are bookshelves, paintings, old phonographs, old photographs, trivia and old mirrors all over the hotel. We would absolutely stay here again when we're in the Albuquerque area. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.
