By chance, I discovered this hotel. Looking for a hotel under $200. It met my needs. The hotel is on the west side of central park, directly across from the street. The area offers many restaurants and is not overcrowded with the stars and the excitement. I was searching for a more peaceful setting but wanted a subway station nearby. This was once more directly outside the door. Lines 1, 2, or 3 will take you there. If you prefer to travel above the water, a bus can stop right outside the door. If you have a flight to Laguardia or Jak, the subway can get you there for less than $ 6 to Laguardia or $ 11 jak. Comparatively priced uber or $100 per taxi. Look no further if you're searching for fantastic home-cooked fare. The Manhattan Diner is right next door. They provide a sizable menu. The Newton Hotel has hot water in the lobby to make yourself a cup of coffee or tea. A large cabinet with a microwave and a decent-sized mini fridge are available for anytime hot beverages. The room had a queen bed, a desk, a chest of drawers, a huge cabinet with a microwave and a large mini refrigerator to store leftovers and drinks. There was also a closet to store our luggage and our clothes for hanging. The bathroom was a

The location is optimal for exploring New York City. The staff here was also great, specially the manager who gave my 83-year-old mother an amazing room upgrade when I mentioned we were on a birthday vacation. We had a great experience staying here and would come back for a visit again without hesitation. I cannot express how lovely the area is. The hotel itself is charming and straightforward, with beautiful brownstone streets all around you and directly across the street from Starbucks. We were very safe and comfortable the entire week we were there. Although the hotel is a little old antiques, the value for money was well worth it. Every night we were given a roomy double queen room with a view of the highway.

The hotel is in a nice tourist area. A few cafes, supermarkets, and pharmacies are nearby for breakfast and snacks. They also provide free coffee, cookies, and tea next to the front desk.

The hotel has a wonderful location, close to the subway and the Central Park. It was nice to have a renovated and pleasant room. The restroom wasn't too small, although it was nice. Our room had air conditioning.

This star rating is almost entirely due to the beds. A hotel's primary goal is to provide a restful night's sleep. Unfortunately, the bed was so uncomfortable that it was hard to get adequate sleep here. Cheap orchard bed with no plush layer, no pillows, and no soft pad to improve comfort. I am not expecting much I recently spent $80 per night staying at a not-fancy Red Roof inn! Also, I had a nice, comfy bed. A bed in a prison-style hotel in Newtown was about $300 for a night. Considering it is in Manhattan, I was pleasantly surprised by how big the room is. The shower was great. The air conditioning worked admirably. The towels and bathroom were clean, but I found remnants of the previous guest's tortilla chips on the nightstand that housekeeping had missed. We struggled to locate charging outlets for our devices because the room was obsolete. Its odd that the bathroom's threshold has a large step that is barely two inches high, making it so easy to go over. It poses a safety risk, particularly at night! The least they could do would be to make it easier to see and prevent falls. Hopefully many of these issues will be resolved once the renovation is finished.
