Good facility, comfortable stay, clear instructions at the front desk. Need elevator. More trash cans in room. There was only one in bathtoom. The room light in the ceiling fan was difficult to close.

It’s an old timer with lots of character. It has great lobby and great room (fireplace, old leather furniture etc. I like that kind of hotel.

I recently stayed at The Pines Hotel in Lake Placid, and it was a fantastic experience! While the hotel has an older charm, it is well-maintained, clean, and comfortable—exactly what you need for a great stay in this beautiful area. One of the standout features is the location—you can’t beat it! It’s conveniently situated near all the attractions Lake Placid offers, making exploring the town, enjoying outdoor activities, or visiting easy. The rooms were tidy, and the beds were comfortable. I appreciated the attention to cleanliness, which made the stay all the more pleasant. If you’re looking for a great value, a comfortable stay, and a prime location, The Pines Hotel is an excellent choice for any visit to Lake Placid. This is my preferred hotel in Lake Placid when I visit!

There were a couple issues with the room, but the front desk representative could not have been more helpful to make sure everything was perfect

We chose Pines Inn as our destination, but on a Sunday evening, we ate there on their upstairs patio. We had the ribs and pulled pork for my husband. The ribs were delicious and falling off the bone. If you want your meat sauced in hickory smoked barbecue sauce, they make its own. The coleslaw and potato were also excellent. It's a short distance up the hill on 86, but it was a hidden gem. Friendly, family-run staff. Try it!.

We stayed at the Lines Inn for two nights. Beautiful old building in the center of town. I read a few reviews complaining that there was no elevator, but I really enjoyed it! Our room was small but quite comfortable. I loved the hot tub in the basement lounge area after a 13-mile hike. On our second night, we had dinner at the Redneck Bistro the restaurant next to the inn, and the food was delicious. will definitely stay there again!.

The old pine inn is the last remaining hotel from the hotels built during the golden age of hotels in Lake Peace. Built in 1900, the historic pine inn is the last surviving hotel left from the golden age of hotels in 18801900. This six-story brick building also features a fantastic restaurant and bar as well as a redneck bistro with outdoor covered dining on the hotels porch. We adored the knotty pine and homey adirondack atmosphere in the lobby entrance. We had a lovely queen room with a bath that faced the front of the property. We had no problem navigating the steep old stairs and we were offered assistance with our bags if needed. The pines inn has charm, history, and character, and we enjoyed sitting in the great room later in the evening with drinks enjoying the atmosphere and admiring the property. One can only imagine a winter night 100 years ago, with that huge fireplace roaring and a room full of guests. The wraparound front porch is also a lovely late-night spot. The pines inn and its innkeeper, Frank and jill Kegger, are truly great men who answered my many questions and iced my many questions over a 4-day period. If you're planning a trip to Lake Placid, do yourself a favor and book a motel off the highway if you

We liked the rustic look but there was no elevator and the room looked not clean. We enjoyed our time at the lakeside and the hotel was good but next time we will definitely be staying somewhere else.

For over 25 years, I've been staying at various hotels in Lake Peace for four days in August. First and foremost, I rarely complain because I have always felt, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. When I first arrived, I tried to ignore some initial problems, but it appeared like the negatives kept piling up. An elevator doesn't mean an est level room really means climbing two stories of stairs. Wallpaper peeling with ceiling damage. Irresponsible for windows being brushed. Housekeeping maintains clean towels on the dresser and drops one paper basket to empty one tiny can per room. Rooms have one lamp. Legs clogged the toilet and sink. The window air conditioner worked for four days but never kept the space cool enough to close down. Toys and filthy tissue beneath the bed. There is no hair dryer, irons, or ice maker. Comfortable beds but ripped bedskirts. Dark walkin closet with no lights or shelves, and there are only five plastic hangers. The dresser drawer was broken and fell on the ground when we attempted to open it. I want to highlight how nice the proprietor was. On the property, there is also an indooroutdoor restaurant. I didn't eat there, but it was always crowded. The hotel is also perfectly situated to walk to shops, restaurants,

Hotel room was very clean. They left an envelope with our key in it , so that was great. No contact with staff but we have been here before so we know where things are. We like staying here at the pines.

After reading the reviews after I booked non refundable I was prepared to spend a horrific night. But no. The room was made, the sheets and towels were clean. The check-in and out was done through an envelope with my room key with my name at the check in counter. I didn’t have to wait. Yes the decor is from last century but I didn’t even see a ghost. And the restaurant downstairs smelled really good.
