We absolutely loved our stay at the Interstate Inn! We had originally planned a weekend in Hico, but our Airbnb didn’t work out, and we were so thankful to find a room here—especially since we were traveling with our pup. Finding a dog-friendly place at the last minute isn’t always easy, and the Interstate Inn was the perfect surprise. The retro decor is so charming and thoughtfully done. The pool was the perfect place to relax—it was refreshingly cold on a hot Texas day, and having drink service poolside made it feel like a true getaway. One of our favorite touches was the adorable continental breakfast served in a retro Stanley lunchbox. It’s those little details that make this place so special. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and we’re already planning another staycation here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, unique, and welcoming place to stay in Stephenville!

This place is truly a hidden gem in the Texas countryside. We booked our stay based on the photos and reviews, but neither came close to capturing how beautiful and relaxing it is in person. From the moment we arrived, every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We also dined at the restaurant, and our server, Emmy, was fantastic. She made excellent recommendations, and everything we tried was delicious. We were just passing through and only stayed one night, but after experiencing everything this property has to offer, we’re already planning a return trip for a full weekend getaway. As a bonus, the complimentary breakfast box was such a thoughtful and unexpected surprise that made our departure even better. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable escape.

The room was so beautifully designed and decorated. We played games in the yard, walked around the property had amazing hand crafted drinks at the bar and a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The TV had Roku, so when we finally went back to the room it was easy to watch from any streaming app. We woke up to breakfast at the door in a retro Stanley lunchbox with a thermos full of coffee. It was very clean and everyone that worked there was helpful and kind.

Absolute Gem! Was a great find and an amazing motel. It was so beautifully decorated and updated with so many cute features. The staff was great. They even hand delived a cute lunch box with breakfast goodies and even gluten free muffins for me. It also came with hot coffee. I highly recommend this place. It also has a wonderful restaurant attached. I had the best steak I have ever had. We will be back!
