My daughter and I stayed 2 nights here at the Monarch Resort in Pacific Grove. CA. It was a wonderful experience throughout our stay and we highly recommend it!

Clean cozy and relaxing. Walk to the golf course downton PG and the ocean! If you enjoy walking or renting a bike Cannery row is a good walk! Beautiful area!

Although the building is old, I liked its distinctive design with an open atrium and the generously sized room. I would stay here again when visiting Pacific Grove.

My room was very clean. Could use longer matches to lite the fireplace log. Really missed a coffee pot in the room. Want a Hot cup early in the a.m. while still in P.J.'s If you had to pay extra ($5.00 or less) to have to arrange for a coffee set up to be in your room, it would be worth it. I would stay there again, but actually seldom stay at facilities anymore.

The property is clean, you can see the gardeners cleaning outside. The front desk was nice, we were given a paper with all the information of the hotel. The continental breakfast was nice, very simple, but with great flavor. They boil eggs, so if you have kids, be careful. Waffle maker made thick fluffy 1 or 4 piece waffles. Then there's a toast area with bagels and bread. Another table has yogurt and oatmeal options. Bananas and apples were an option. The best machine was their coffee machine! They had a soo many options! I loved it! The sauna was spacious, direct access to the outdoor pool and hot tub. The heated pool wasn't warm, but definitely not cold. The second day they were draining the hot tub so we were unable to use it. Our only complaint was the morning cleaning staff. She was outside our door on her phone for about 10 minutes, when we asked for towels, she sent us to the front desk. Front desk was more helpful and nice.

Love the included breakfast waffles you can make and all the other breakfast options. Fireplace in room with a free log every day is great. Lasts for 3 hours, pool, hot tub, nice venue across the street for music, ice cream, coffee, hot dogs. Fridge & microwave in the room. Very sweet staff the two times I stayed here.

The pool and hot tub were great! The breakfast was good before starting our day. The only complaint we had was the people above us were super loud throughout the 1st night but after they left the next night was so much better. We would definitely like to stay at this hotel again but try to get a second floor room.

The Monarch Resort was a wonderful find. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. I love the trees in the hallways. Our room was clean. But my favorite part was the shower. It was perfect. The shower and pillows are very important to me. Water pressure in the shower and confidant pillows. The Monarch hit all the marks. Hubby and I like to find hotels we will return to each time we go to an area. This will be our PG location. And across from a great hot dog place... perfect!!!
