The customer service was exceptional! We were not going to be arriving until very late, so they gave us a lock box for our key. They were so wonderful on site! Also, this is located close to EVERYTHING! I plan to stay there again!

There's a lot to like about the Monterey Peninsula Inn. The location is close to downtown for quick and easy access to shops and restaurants and super close to Asilomar beach, 17 mile drive and Highway 1 for access to Carmel and Monterey. Reception was friendly and the check in process was quick and efficient. The room looked as pictured and was equipped with a TV, which featured the World Cup, a heater, fan, ironing board, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and ice bucket. The bathroom was large, the water was hot and the bed was comfortable. It's a renovated motel, so parking is right outside your door. Noise-wise, it's a lottery depending on the location of the room you get and if you're in the section with rooms above or near the hot tub or families with children. My biggest issue was temperature control, as there is no heat or A/C despite there being a thermostat. You can open the windows and blinds to let air in, but if it's a warm, sunny day, it may be challenging to get the room to cool down. I'd consider staying long here again as it's a great location, clean and safe. It might be better off-peak weekends and when school is back in session, as you can hear lots of people out and about talking. I appreciated that they allowed dogs, which is always a positive.

I highly recommend this place. We loved everything about it. Location, staff, cleanliness, comfort and charm. Everything was perfect. Clean, quite, pool jacuzzi, ocean, fire pit. We will be back again. We celebrated my 55 Bday and our wedding anniversary there. Wife and I had an amazing time there. Thank you to the very friendly and professional staff for making our stay such a blast.

Beautiful area. Nice place. Super comfortable and clean. Perfect spot in Pacific Grove! Everything in PG is walkable from it. 5 minute drive to the aquarium. We will definitely stay here again for our next visit! Thanks, Annette, for being such a great hostess!
