Cute updated room. It was clean and inviting. I called ahead to ask about an early check-in due to time of the wedding and they were accommodating. We were there for a wedding in the area so didn't visit long, but would stay there again in the future.

It was a cute little motel; only 5 rooms but our room was clean and (mostly) quiet. The walls are a little thin so if you want absolute privacy it might not be too your taste, but it was fine for our needs- sleep after an evening dinner/ bridal shower. There is no staff to speak of, only a check in girl that also works at the ice cream shop directly in front of the motel. And you need to look for the shop because the signage for the motel is not large and was hidden a bit behind tree branches- we must have passed it 5 times before we knew what to look for after getting some directions. We would stay there again if we are invited back to the area.

We have a thing for staying in tiny motels off the beaten path, so the Oakes Oramel Inn was perfect for us when we visited the area! The accommodations were quite pleasant with some fresh updates. Our room was well-appointed and included a microwave, mini fridge, table and chairs, large dresser with mirror, queen bed, and nightstand. A basket of complimentary snacks and bottled water awaited us on our table upon arrival. Towels were refreshed daily, and the shower was hot (with great water pressure, too). Checkin and checkout were completely painless. Twas a perfectly enjoyable stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone passing through!

It was a very nice and quiet place. The owners were very helpful and caring about our stay, asking if we needed any thing. The bed slept very well and the bathroom was a decent size and the overall room was clean.

I will miss this place very much.My daughter was attending Houghton University and this was such a a nice place to stay close by the college to get her and bring her home on holidays.I always got good service here and communication was excellent.The room was always clean and the bed was always comfortable.I felt like I was at home.I highly recommend this place to anyone you won't be disappointed at this Gem.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We were in the area so we could hike on the Finger Lakes Trail and the location was very convenient. Our room could not have been cleaner. The bed was super comfortable. We arrived in the evening and had good instructions of how to enter the room. I would absolutely stay again.

We stayed at the Travel Inn while visiting our daughter at Huntington College. The Hidden Gem is cheap, clean and comfortable. The delicious cookedtoorder breakfast was such a surprise! Scott is a kind host who takes pride in his business and that shows.

The room was fine. The woman who worked at the desk and in the ice cream store was welcoming and accommodating. But the room we stayed in was insufficient lighting, it never worked, and there was no working wifi. These are things that should be included in the $100 per night apartment. The shower was also good. The bed linens were a slippery material. My problem isn't really with the room, but rather with the pricing.

We made the reservation in advance because we knew it was new years eve and that people tend to have plans. Since the inn was crowded, our host was polite and efficient, he told me to phone as soon as we were close because he didn't have time to get there. When we were nearly a half way through the wait, I called him because we were running late, and he met us at the inn, and it was a good move. The room was spotless on inspection, smelled good and fresh, and the humidity was low, but it quickly rose to temperature. Clean towels, warm water, and anything else works well. The decor is outdated but charming, and it corresponds to what I like and anticipate. I adore momandpop stores, as they tend to have the charm and style I enjoy. Far better than most large hotel chains by proprietor, and the lodgings support my assessment. As long as you choose correctly, I chose correctly! I'll ride my motorcycle in the summer for some ice cream. The restaurant or ice cream parlor were unavailable since we were the only guests and it wasn't open, so we couldn't use them. However, since I had no expectations for that, it was new year's day offseason.
