So, some people may remember the time when a budget motel was exactly that: A budget motel. A time when a clean bed and a hot shower was what you were paying for and not a bunch of crap like breakfast, in room coffee and numerous other amenities that are absolutely unnecessary and costs hotels a fortune which is passed on to all of us that still know how to travel smart and can find all of that on our own. Personally, I grow weary of paying 100$ a night for things I never use! Rice Hill Inn is bringing back those days when you could still afford to get a decent night's sleep without digging into money you'd rather spend on activities, etc. I stayed 4 nights at this establishment. Every day housekeeping checked my room, replaced the towels, changed the bedding and emptied the trash. Even some 4 star hotels require you to call the front desk if you don't want to reuse your towels and bedding. So, are the rooms a bit dated? Yes. But the room I had was clean and included a table, two chairs, a desk and chairs, a microwave and a fridge. It wasn't all brand new, but everything worked. The heat worked, the water pressure on the second floor was adequate, the toilet flushed and the drains drained. There was plenty of lighting, there were plenty of plugins, and the tv, though smaller than some worked fine and had hundreds of free channels. I'm sorry, but I find it shameful that I saw so many poor and unfair reviews. If you want to spend 100$ a night for a crappy breakf

5 star review based on value for $54. As other reviews stated, the staff was friendly and the room was clean. The location is quiet because it is not close to services other than truck stop gas stations and an adult store.

The girl who [seems to?] manages the place is SO sweet and accomodating. It was cold out, so she invited me to follow her in through the staff door, rather than stand in the cold to register at the night window. When our door key wouldnt work, she happily put us in the room next door. Aside from that, everything about our stay was great! Comfy bed, everything clean. AND - though we didnt get a chance to use it, the room had a deep soak tub. They dont look lile anything special but they've heaven.

Our room was very clean and comfortable, with beautiful hardwood floors that added a nice touch. The bed was cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming; they even greeted us with fresh bottles of water at check-in. We arrived late after dealing with a blown tire, and they kindly allowed us a late checkout while we waited for the repair. Excellent hospitality and service all around

Check in was fast, front desk gal was friendly, room was clean, AC worked. Quick stop while traveling and it stored our needs and was a great price. Beds are not the most comfortable but it was adequate for what we paid. I felt safe as a woman traveling alone with kids

Comfortable, clean, quiet, and affordable. Very pleasant staff. Being surrounded by the hills is wonderful. I thought it might be a little sketchy with the Adult Store right across the parking lot, but I was completely mistaken! Everyone from the gas station to our motel neighbor was easy-going. Would stay again!
