Clean room, great staff, the view wasn’t exactly as I was expecting (I thought it would ocean view, you could see the ocean from the room but was iffy leaning over a balcony sideways to look at it, the railing was wiggly), no microwave in room so plan accordingly, but over all it was a great experience! The beds are super comfy! Only thing I didn’t like was the way parking was set up, it was a long carry to and from vehicles.

The Shelby is a great hotel. Be advised this is not a 5 star hotel! This small, boutique style hotel has great vibes and friendly staff. The overall hotel still could use some upgrading, but i will definitely be back!

Nicely located near the pier with friendly staff, cute rooms and a nice pool. Located on the beach with easy access. Restaurant on property that we didn't end up using with lots of places to walk to. We didn't need to move our car once during the weekend as we walked to all of our restaurants. Highly recommend Strong Waters for amazing drinks and yummy bites (diagonally across the street)

This was our first stay at this hotel, and we absolutely loved it! Our room was beautiful, and the ocean view was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel has been beautifully renovated and feels fresh, modern, and very comfortable. It is definitely one of the best hotels in Myrtle Beach. We would also like to thank the gentleman at the front desk. He was incredibly polite, welcoming, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We truly appreciate his kindness and excellent customer service. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Shelby! The staff were very helpful & kind, especially Sharon at the check-in desk! A lovely sort of boutique hotel that was very clean & welcoming. Loved the pool & the lazy river! Great location & easy parking. We’ll definitely be returning!

It was a great place to stay . The ocean front was worth it but , get a hi higher floor for a greater view. On a plane there is you just gotta keep up with the housekeeping to give you towels and toilet paper lol but that was it..

My family and I were really impressed with our stay. I looked for hours online reading reviews and the Shelby had some of the best so I took the chance and am so glad I did! We will definitely be going back and staying there again!

Great hotel for the price. We had a partial view of the ocean and it was very conveniently located. The room was clean and well equipped perfect for our short term stay.

The hotel was amazing! Loved how it was a simple walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the pool and lazy river. Just a heads up they only have one elevator it was a little slow moving but overall it worked and we didn’t have any type of problem with it and enjoy our stay. We will definitely be staying again in the near future.

The restaurant was nice and so was staff. Jamie was super sweet. Food was tasty and well priced. The hotel stay was smooth and uneventful in the best way. Right on beach and steps away from the boardwalk and many restaurants. I celebrated my 30th bday at The Voco Shelby for 2 nights three days but I could’ve used an extra day!
