I wish that I would have come to this town and hostel/hotel with my partner. Going with the kids even though they are older was not my best choice but I really loved the atmosphere of the bar downstairs and the bartender let me in after hours. I really would have loved to stay and hang out. Looks like a fun place! Bedroom was super clean and the shower was very modern and had good quality products. No TV which I really was good with.

Needed a close overnight place near Athol for a family wedding. Nice quaint "biker bar" front, restaurant had fantastic prime rib, the rooms were very clean and newly painted, friendly staff, bed was perfect. Thanks so much! Ok, the room was very tiny but we did have a private bath.

Our family went to visit Silverwood and hesitantly stayed here at White Horse Hotel/Hostel due to the online reviews... but to our surprise this place was AMAZING (We stayed on the 3rd floor), and we will definitely be going back. Freshly remodeled, modern, clean and economical rooms (we had 2 adjoining with a private bathroom) in a quiet small town about 15 min from Silverwood. Yes, there is a small bar/grill below but noise/cigarette smoke was not an issue for us on the 3rd floor. Another thing that was good was the hassle-free check-in. The room keys were ready for us when we arrived, so no long check-in process like at other hotels. There were no TVs and wifi was spotty but this actually turned out great for our teenage boys to let go of technology and do some extra bonding with us, as a family. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. We especially liked the bathrobes to go down the hall to the shared bath. Once we went upstairs to the room we could not hear any music or noise from the bar downstairs.

For the price, this cant be beat. Pillows so comfortable, i bought them from Amazon. The comunal bathroom decor made it feel decadent. And, they are adding suites to the 3rd floor. We will definately stay again.

Bed in room 2 was super comfy. Nice room with extra little dinning n bath. For those without private bath the public bathrooms provided are big and very pretty. No continental breakfast not even fruit not even coffee. Was coffee maker in my room tho.

The only down fall as far as I’m concerned was the smoke that came up from the bar area. Other than that. I really enjoyed the bar the old historic side and the staff and regular patrons. Overall a great little hotel. Not for the faint of heart though.

This is a funky little hotel/hostel on main street in Spirit Lake. The room was comfortable, convenient, and included a small kitchenette with sink and mini fridge. Easy walking distance to a park, the lake, shopping, coffee shop, restaurants, etc. Less than 20 min from Silverwood. Downsides: lobby/bar is very smokey, looked like the floor and bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and room 2 has a huge sign with flashing lights outside the window that even the blackout curtains couldn't block (but the sign turns off by 11pm).
