Tiny but very functional; located right near the ferry; convenient. Hopping roof top bar.

Fabulous stay at Kontiki. Room was adequate for short stay and shared facilities regularly cleaned. Room was spotless and quickly cleaned after my arrival and very long flight. Staff were very helpful and helped book an excursion for me. Cafe was superb place for breakfast. Rooftop bar was gorgeous - watching sunsets over Moorea with a cocktail was amazing. Walking distance to cruise terminal. Would highly recommend.

The extra effort to provide a safe environment for my surfboards downstairs in the lobby when I slept for a night upstairs.

I stayed in the “cabins” which were basically one floor of the hotel My key opened a room that then had about eight or 10 individual rooms off of it, and the key also opened one of those. The room had spacious nice bunkbeds, it was decorated well, and it was clean and very cute. I wasn’t sure how it was going to be using a shared bathroom system where you have to leave your room to go to the bathroom, but the bathrooms are individual locked rooms as well and some of them have showers and some don’t. It all felt very secure, safe, clean and upscale. There were also common areas for handwashing, etc.. There was a beautiful outdoor patio common area with a waterfall and comfortable seating. It had an area where you can make coffee or tea, get water, use the kitchenette etc. If your plan is to take a ferry, it really doesn’t get any more convenient than the Kontiki as the ferry terminal is directly across the street. In the morning, I had breakfast in the coffee shop downstairs, which was lovely and delicious. À la carte, pastries and items are available, but there’s also a large buffet if you’re hungry. Overall, I would absolutely stay there again, it was a great experience

I was a little concerned when I saw that it was a shared bathroom but when I got there I had a better understanding of it. They had several toilet shower rooms and they were all single. They had a men's side and then down a different Hall they had the women's side. Probably five each hallway. They were always available when I needed one. It had nice shampoo, body wash and conditioner. In your cabin they had two towels so you just bring the towels. And one thing I was concerned if I had to get up in the night how hard would it be getting to it but it is just right down the hall it was lovely. My room was really cool, bunk beds but it was just me High-speed internet which was complimentary and plenty of places for both for C and regular chargers, yes it's a small room only the beds and a refrigerator, a couple hooks for your jacket and backpack. Everything was high quality. Floor one where I stayed it had a courtyard and had an espresso machine or tea. I sat there on a wicker swing m for 2 hours just enjoying nature and the beauty and it rained but didn't get wet because I was undercover. I loved it, I wish I would have stayed longer. I just stayed one night to get on a cruise ship.

This is a review for the cabin floor. So clean, everything is new, staff was super friendly and helpful and even ordered a taxi for me. There’s ice, water, coffee, a sink, and a seating area. The rooftop bar was a plus as well. Highly recommend! It was 2800 CPF for a taxi to the airport and a 2 min walk from the ferry.

I stayed in the community bathroom/shower section. I thought it was super neat, reminded me of a hostel many years ago but fancier. The room is large by height, you have to climb a ladder to get to your bed, think bunk bed. Once you get up to bed you have charger outlets, tv, ambient lighting switch. Location is directly across the street from ferries, a block away from all the restaurants and shops. Parking is an extra $20. I would definitely rent a car if you’re staying more than a couple of days and want to explore. It was not worth it for me to rent for the day, unless you have all your plans mapped out. Great hotel! Very kind staff!!

Great place to stay in town. Center of everything and I’m front of the ferries. Stayed there twice during my time in Papeete. Got the cabin bunk for a solo traveler no complaints communal showers outside that separates men and woman. Easy place for easy travelers.
