This is a beautiful property tucked up in the Radicofoni area in Tuscany. The room is lovely. The views of the valley wonderful. Great place to relax. The bed is a bit saggy but I slept well.

A Pietreta siamo stati coccolati e ci siamo sentiti proprio a casa. Abbiamo acceso il camino e preparato le castagne comprate in uno dei tanti negozietti del paese. Siamo andati alle terme e abbiamo visitato le varie località dei dintorni, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino...ecc... Paesaggi meravigliosi. La colazione è sempre servita con cura in appartamento ed è ogni giorno un pò diversa. Gli appartamenti sono comodi e molto puliti, arredati con cura e con molto gusto. Ho girato molto negli anni....e devo dire...che questo posto mi è particolarmente piaciuto. E' immerso nel verde e al tempo stesso abbastanza vicino al centro abitato. Torneremo !!!! Deve essere meraviglioso in estate stare a bordo piscina all’ombra delle querce.

This is a beautful, remote location. If unfamiliar with the area we strongly suggest getting here in daylight hours since it can be tricky to find. Once you do you will enjoy it. We had signora Pinuccia as caretaker and she was warm, funny, and made us a great home made breakfast (extra fee). We stayed in the smaller unit which is fine for a couple

Set in the heart of Val D’Orcia this presented a great base to visit the surrounding villages, Radicofani being the closest but within easy reach of other towns and the various hot springs like Bagni San Fillipo and others. Our apartment was well laid out and clean, providing all we needed, the bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The only issue we had was with the TV which was rapidly resolved. We were too busy to try the pool and the weather had taken a downturn but it did look nice. We bought their wine and Olive oil, hubby enjoyed the wine, and our son chose the locally grown, pressed and bottled Olive oil and said it was excellent. It was a shame we did everything by WhatsApp though as we never go to meet our host who was dealing with a family issue, or anyone in the main house. But the communications with Tina were excellent especially her recommendations regarding shopping in Radicofani, a lovely village with none of the usual tourist crowds, lovely little restaurants and free parking which is so rare these days. It reminded me of the 60‘s when your local shops greeting you like a friend and everything you bought was prepared or sliced to your requirements. The porchetta, cakes and bread from Pane e Companatico were delicious, I can’t recommend Rossi the Butchers enough and our meal in La Bottega del Chiu was excellent. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and found Radicofani to be quite a gem as were many of the surrounding towns and the scenery – wow!

At first we got a windowless room that had no view at all, although we were booked for a room with valley view. On the second day we got a very beatiful room with plenty of valley view. Breakfast was not included. The property is very beautiful with plenty of fully loaded cherry trees. and we purchased locally made red wine and olive oil. Provided you get a nice room, I fully reccomend it.

Siamo arrivati in serata per il check-in. Il proprietario ci ha accompagnati a questa dependance dove c’era la nostra camera a livello del giardino. Arredata in modo spartano ma con gusto mancava di uno zerbino all’ingresso perché non avevamo come pulirci le scarpe dal terreno dell’esterno e il pavimento si é sporcato molto al primo ingresso in camera. Abbiamo dormito bene anche se sarebbe stato meglio avere delle coperte adeguate ai 3gradi dell’esterno. Al momento del check-out al mattino l’oste ci ha addebitato 5 euro della spesa riscaldamento che sul sito di Hotels nella scheda di descrizione della struttura non erano evidenziati. Abbiamo controllato insieme all’oste e in effetti al momento del pagamento on line dal sito Hotels ci é arrivata una email di conferma prenotazione e pagamento dove era segnato (molto poco evidente) di questa spesa ma ovviamente i soldi erano giá stati scalati e non era possbile annullare la prenotazione. Non credo che questo sia un buon servizio informativo, e considerando che é la prima volta che preferiamo Hotels.com al giá pluritestato Booking ci penseremo prima di riutilizzare quest piattaforma. Il podere é comunque immerso in una stradina molto isola e sterrata il che lo rende particolare ed affascinante.

Tappa lungo la via Francigena. Arrivo con il buio e pessimo meteo. Check-in rapidissimo. Bella camera arredata sobriamente ma con gusto. Purtroppo il riscaldamento era fuori servizio e abbiamo compensato con una trapunta aggiuntiva. Camera silenziosissima nonostante il vento da vera bufera. Presenza di qualche ragnatela in alto nel bagno. Insetti di vario tipo vivi e morti nel bagno e vivi in camera. D'altro canto siamo in campagna e la natura predomina. Bottiglia di vino offerta dai gentilissimi quanto raffinati proprietari del casale. Con un buon meteo dev'essere stupendo. Agevole la strada bianca che conduce al casale.
