We have a family room at the lodge which is fairly basic but fantastic ... has everything we need and comfortable to sleep. It is in the perfect spot with the beach across the road and a 1-5 min walk to all restaurants, shops etc. Love the holiday vibe of this place! Definitely want to come back and stay longer.

Nothing was every a problem for the staff, nice cool chill feel to the place. Didn’t like the wait to use the kitchen but that will always happen in a communal kitchen

An en suite room n a backpackers lodge at the beginning of Abel Tasman National Park, for softie retired travellers like us, a brilliant place. Somewhere to visit if visiting NZ

Kaiteriteri beach is one of the best beaches in NZ and the Kaiteri Lodge is just across the road - great location. Our room had two bunks and a queen bed so great for a family of five. It has backpacker style shared kitchen facilities which we found much better than the limited kitchen facilities in most motels at a similar price level. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great accommodation. Really reasonable for the great standard of the room. Very clean. Comfortable bed, great shower pressure.

I wouldn't hesitate to book a room here again. We had a double room with a fridge, to and bathroom. The apartment provided everything we required. It was quite small, but it was ok with just the two of us. The staff was friendly and it was great that there was a lovely restaurant next door. The shower was great. Nice and big with good pressure. There was some free wifi but when it ran out you had to pay more. 2 dollars unlimited per day. There were only two drawbacks. The bottom sheet felt like it should be an undershirt. It was like a balmy winter sheet. I ended up sleeping on the nice cold top sheet. The other drawback was that the room was very hot at night. Maybe there was an air conditioner that we weren't aware of. It was definitely in the hallways but didn't appear to be in the room.

I have not a lot to say about this hostel. The staff is nice and the bar next door is good. However, the free wifi is unreliable. Even though the shower is ok, it can get a bit stuffy with poor ventilation. The shared kitchen is a good size. Because there isn't much nearby, I advise you to prepare food ahead of your waiter.

Its a lovely little town and the hotel is right on the beach with free parking, but the pluses tend to end there. Its more of a hostel than a hotel Perhaps thats not a distinction they make no but the other lodge we stayed at was aware of at a similar price and much more luxurious. Ive never witnessed a hotel request that you bring your sheets to reception upon checkout or leave keys in an envelope rather than having a receptionist on the rp desk on a Sunday. The room was crowded, with no table on the side of the bed and was very basic. There were some coat hangers, but they were around a foot above the fridge, so you couldnt really hang anything. There was nowhere to drink in the town, the hotel bar was closed and the only other bar had a private party, but fortunately we brought some wine with us for the trek. The problem is there are no drinking signs all around the hotel, so we had to go out and sit on a bench as it got cold. Why is it a dry hotel, I dont understand? All in all, this was a very disappointing start to our no vacation.

reception was friendly and helpful. TV was horrible, picture and volume didn't work properly. Laundry room closed too early.

The hostel is very basic but the rooms are functional. The room smelled slightly of damp and the shower in the en suite made the whole bathroom floor wet which was annoying. For the price, it’s an average backpackers hostel - you get what you pay for!

Hotel was used by Kiwi Experience so lots of yougsters coming and going. However, hotel was not too noisy and very covenient for access to Abel Tasman National Park. Only slight downside was that our room was above kitchin area and smell of burnt toast was evident. Generally very good experience.
