We stayed here for five nights and during that timebecamevery friendly with the owner and her daughter. The room had everything we needed and although we were a little disappointed not to be able to use the BBQ which was out of action, the owner !ent us alternative equipment and we managed fine. Only small problem was the rather steep driveway coming out onto a busy road but the convenience of being walking distance from restaurants and shops and the beach more than made up for it.

I live in Wellington. We come to Timaru 2-3 times per year and always stay at Townhouse Motel. We love the friendliness of the proprietors, the location is perfect and we have all that we need. The motel is very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this motel to everyone

Really friendly owner, can't rate him highly enough. The room was great for myself and 2 children, and the kitchen was great. Super-clean. Loved having all the Sky channels. The driveway is not steep like other reviews said, I actually laughed when I saw it having read those reviews!

오래된 모텔입니다. 요즘 신축 모텔에 비해 노후화 되었지만 간단히 숙박하기에는 조리가능한 도구들이 있습니다. 방에 불이 고장나서 얘기하니 바로 옆방으로 변경해주네요. 저희는 욕조 하나 보고 예약한거라 만족합니다

Pleasant staff at this motel, where I always stay while in town. Motel is on a hill, so the lower-down units are the quietest- although on the main highway, I heard very little noise at night. Nicely fitted-out room with plenty of space for suitcases and a large kitchen with the usual facilities. Bathroom quite OK, usual facilities there. Electric blankets and good room heater. About 5 mins walk to the local indoor heated swimming pool, about 10-15 minutes walk to local Pak n Save supermarket, McDonalds, KFC, some restaurants, and about 10-15 mins to the town centre in the opposite direction. Staff give vouchers for about 2GB wifi, usable over 4 devices, that was plenty for me. I was happy with this motel, and will go back; it gave value for the price paid.

For a cheaper motel it was fine. The proprietress was helpful and it was comfortable though not stylish. As coffee addicts we struggled a bit with the continental breakfast (10nzd) but the accommodation was adequate.

I spent two nights, had a night away, and had a very warm welcome back with lights and heater on and curtains drawn, and phone charger that I'd left behind waiting for pick up. Very comfortable and homely and surprisingly quiet given proximity to main road

On SH1 so easy to find. Good staff - very pleasant experience. Everything easy to do. Arrived late. Owner referred us to Copper Cafe and Bar in Stafford St which was perfect end to a long day on the road. Let down somewhat by kitchen smoke alarm that went off before toast even began to brown - and would not stop. Had to disable after advising owner. Heater in bed/sitting area worked well on arrival in the late evening but could not get to start in the morning (over night frost). Frustrating Would still recommend in spite of above.
