Positives nice area to walk around or go for runs. The self-catering apartments are generally comfortable with nice finishings close to the airport and relatively close to a large shopping center 10 minutes drive good wifi in the self-catering apartments. The self-catering apartments lack some basic things like plugs for the sinks or spatulas, coffee mugs etc. The shower was leaking for the duration of my stay two months and this meant water covered the bathroom floor permanently. I had friends who were staying in hotel rooms which were pretty poor, rooms were rarely cleaned, and when they approached the hotel staff about it, they were told there were too many rooms for them to get to all! The website promotes a gymheath center, but there isn't one. Very poor wifi in the hotel rooms may as well not have any, it was so bad the staff was usually unwilling to help with internet issues, room servicing issues and general information. The place looks shabby, it has not been maintained well. I stayed there for 2 months, it wasn't a pleasure, but it wasn't fantastic. I want to like it more, it has some potential, just needs better hospitality and maintenance.

With my dogs and pets allowed, I spent the night in a double room. The room was OK, but the air conditioning was poor and the air quality was very bad at night. There was plenty of space for my dog to walk around, including a beach area. The local airport was right across the water, so it could get really loud when we were outside. Didn't notice anything nice when we were inside. Basic breakfast included sandwiches, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, and if you gave advance notice, you could get a gluten-free option.

The atmosphere is quite clean and a little quiet, and the location is located just outside the hotel, with the sea view and the very pleasant place. The price is not too high, as this place is very close to the centre of Kristiansand. Almost worth it.

The airport is located directly across a narrow strip of water, resulting in noise from airplanes departing and landing from 7 am to 11 pm. Other noisy activities at the airport at night. The summer camp near the water is a nice place, but there is no sanitary facility close to it. No warm water, no showers, and no place to wash dishes. Nobody was supposed to drive a car into the field with the summer camp, but everyone did.
