This hotel is surrounded by the lush forests of the São Mamede mountains in Portalegre. This unit combines history, modern facilities and a picturesque location to provide a relaxing stay in Portalegre. This building was renovated in 1530 by Bishop D. Jorge de Melo and his weapons are still on display by the patio. The air-conditioned establishment comprises 9 guest rooms and features a lobby, hotel safe, games room, kids' club, breakfast room, conference facilities and Internet access. Those arriving by car may leave their vehicle in the car park and guests may hire bicycles onsite. The historic convent provides spacious and tastefully decorated rooms with all the modern comforts. All are equipped with individually regulated air conditioning, heating, satellite TV and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and hairdryer. The rooms have retained their original features.
