This hotel was an absolute oasis on the Camino - although it was freezing cold outside, the room was toasty warm (and the radiator was perfect for drying out cold, wet hiking gear). The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home. It's a few minutes from the center of town, so much quieter than other places - and best of all, breakfast was way above average. I especially enjoyed their fresh-squeezed orange juice. A real gem of an inn!

Room was very clean. Property provide great value laundry service for $5.00 per load for washing and $5 for drying. We decided not to use the dryer and the staff was very kind, she provided us with drying rack and clothes pegs. What a great service

The owner was there to check us in, which was very convenient after walking 25 kilometers. She even had our luggage in our room when we arrived. The owner is a very nice woman who helped us figure out where to go for dinner and spent some time with us the next morning during breakfast, which was delicious. I recommend this place, no doubt.

In May, my wife and I stayed at this hotel while walking the Camino. It was quick and easy to find and is about a kilometer away from the Camino trail. It is a three-story modern structure with an elevator. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was large with twin beds, a desk, and a wardrobe and was located on the third level. It was tidy, light, and cozy and had a view of the hills from the back of the home. The restroom was spacious and powerful and had a fantastic shower head. Both the bedroom and bathroom had bar heating, which went on around 7 p.m. and ceased around midnight. The following morning, it didn't turn on. The beds were cozy. Wifi was strong, quick, and reliable. We went elsewhere along the Camino Trail for half the price of breakfast the next morning, which was a little expensive. An enjoyable visit and I would recommend staying here.

We stayed here for one night on our camino. Pluses 1. Very friendly, friendly owner 2. Large, sunny rooms overlooking the hills 3. Clean, quiet, and safe 4. Great price if you don't want to stay in dorms 5. Lots of outlets and free fast wifi 6. Free wifi in the room! Minuses 1. A bit outside the town, so get your food. Not really a charming, cozy hostel feel this hotel could be anywhere in the world, not just rural spain 3. No free breakfast, but camino hotels rarely offer it.

This is the only place to stay in Palas de Rei. The service is good, the rooms are clean and heated, and the breakfast is a little better than the ones served along the camino. Breakfast is ham, salami, tomatoes, cheese, cereal, fruit, bread, juice, coffee and tea. Our room was on the third floor and had a view which is rare to have while walking the camino. The meal they planned was the best along the camino, a course meal.

I would definitely stay here again. Nice hotel on the Sanigo Way. The hotel is very clean and the price is reasonable. The owner is very nice, she understands the reason of my late arrival and I appreciate it. The position is exactly on the way, the place is very close.
