I stayed here in the 70s and decided to give it a try on this trip, traveling with my dog. The property is typical mountain cabin-ish , quiet and great views of the trees. It’s nothing fancy. Maybe in the 70s I thought it was fancy. There are several cabins to choose from with different sizes and layouts and for the tail end of this road trip having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was nice. Overall, I would stay here again.

The Bluebird Cottage Inn is a lovely and low key lodging in Idyllwild. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and everything worked. It's quiet and Idyllwild is a beautiful small mountain town. We would stay here again.

Highly recommend. The bed was extremely comfortable. Usually hotel refrigerators barely keep anything cold. This one was fabulous. Cozy and quiet. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Bluebird. The room was spacious with all the amenities we needed, would have been nice to have additional blanket since it was a bit chilly. The bed was a bit slanted so I was rolling off the bed. Easy parking, about 20mins walk into town and 5mins walk Mile High Cafe (dog friendly).Would stay there again.
