My husband had an amazing stay at Ulum. The staff was awesome, the location was beautiful and the tent was perfect (clean, hot water to shower daily, etc. - all as advertised). The restaurant was great - food was delicious and the nightly smores were a hit. Honestly, I can't say enough positive things about this place. We both highly recommend it! :)

The staff at this place is top notch. Imagine you arrive in Moab, turn down a gravel road that leads on a mile and a half and we arrive

Ulum is a unique experience for several reasons. First of course is the tent. It has a floor, bathroom, shower and air conditioning unit, and a couch and chairs around a coffee table. We had the good fortune to stay in a fairly high tent so our view of the valley and Looking Glass Rock was phenomenal but it does get a little windy up there. During the day the temp reached over 100 so we were worried about being too warm at night, but this being the desert it cooled off nicely and we did not need to turn our AC unit on. We were also able to unzip window areas on the sides which greatly reduced wind blowing of the tent. They do supply ear plugs and I'm not sure what happens when it's colder and you can't unzip these side windows as the tents do get loud with the wind. There are also pot belly stoves and wood in the rooms which we obviously did not need. The main building is lovely and has a very nice restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. The guests ate dinner outside with the sweeping view I mentioned above. There are several fire pits to cook s'mores after dinner. The sunset we saw the night we ate at the restaurant was no less than spectacular. The staff is always ready to help and they are around 24/7 if you need a golf cart ride, ice to the room or anything else. They are lovely. I would not hesitate to stay here just for a unique experience, but probably not more than a night or two, as you can not really "unpack" your clothes. It's a half hour drive to Moab

Just as pictured and advertised. This property is a luxury glamp experience with incredible staff. Wish it were kid free but .. Family friendly. Dinner was creative and delicious. Staff go out of their way for you. Yes could see the Milky Way. Pools are wonderful and activities as well.

Truly a beautiful place. The setting and view are stunning. And the resort they created fits it perfectly - elegant while being natural and ethereal. The cabins are very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed, as well. The staff is considerate and seem to be genuinely happy to be there, which translates into a relaxed service style that is eager to make your stay as delightful as possible. Ours was. 10 out of 10.

Ulum is a beautiful camping resort with a very well designed main lobby. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The pros: stylish property with upscale dining, well-equipped tents with Aesop products, fire pits and nightly smores. The cons: the tents are cold at night, the toilet seat is freezing in the morning, the plunging pools were not all available and there was no water to cool off in. It is a very unique and special experience but is not a hotel or spa experience. It is upscale camping at its best.

We had an amazing time. This was luxury at its finest. We were greeted in the parking lot when we arrived and our every need was met by an amazing staff. The live music every night was magical in the desert setting. I would have stayed longer if we could have.

The staff and food made this trip a once in a lifetime experience. Look forward to traveling to other under canvas resorts in the future.

Great for relaxation. Always loved staying at unique places and this one will definitely be one of my favorites. Very quiet yet nice entertainment, yoga, beautiful surroundings.

Stay was great Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Was disappointed that many of the activities posted on line were not available in person. Yoga should be either earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon as most people head out to hike before or around 8 am. Ridiculous to have to hold the tap down at the sink with one hand while using the other hand to wash your face

Stunning property. Really likes how they had robes, hot tubs, finer dining and proper cocktails (vs. other under Canvas properties). The pull out couch/bed was lacking in comfort. Accessible hot coffee each morning was a bit of a wait...and our shower lacked consistent hot water. They were quick to respond to this issue - but unable to resolve.

We read the reviews and wanted to love this place. Based on the website, it sold itself as private and luxurious. It was neither. The fireplaces in the tents are not vented properly so you have to leave the door cracked which billows smoke into your tent. While I was showering one morning, an unannounced service person unzipped the back of our tent to mess with the water heater for some reason, rezipped and left. You can see right into our tent (and hear) and this person didn’t say a word, just left. A bit of a privacy violation given I was naked. The food is mediocre for the prices charged. The greeting manager was not terribly friendly, was a bit condescending that I didn’t know the name of the parent company, and then didn’t help or even ask us how our stay had been when we were checking out. Tents are definitely not private. They are so close to one another you can hear your neighbors conversations (on his cell phone at 1230 at night, or the other neighbors’ argument at 230 AM). There are no reminders of quiet time anywhere. And while we were trying to enjoy the serenity of the Utah desert, they pumped so much EDM music we had to leave the common area. Wayyy to expensive for the experience. There were a few standouts. Maria and Emily were great servers, and it sounds like the company works them to the bone. The bartender cared deeply about his drinks, which showed a lot. They saved rating from being lower. This is at best a $400ish per night place, not the double price.
